No, those are note clusters, meant to be played in much the same way as chords, which is totally possible on a piano. Well, in theory. There's another part where the negative space spells "HELP ME."

I made the mistake of buying the game before playing the whole previous series (and the Xenosaga series to understand the last playable character). So many past references to stuff that I'm still confused about what really happened in another game and what didn't.

But the main characters in that turn out to be dysfunctional slightly perverted freaks who can go off topic faster than a thread on the Dink Network forums.

Oh, and the voicing is in Japanese no matter what language it's set on. I've must have heard a crapload of it by now but the only things I understood were the english sayings under a thick Japanese accent.

It might be something you like if you like rpg's with a slight action twist to them.

EDIT: I gotta say that I like how they manage to put english flair on the dialogue after translating the original Japanese script. There's not many that seem to do that well.

That brings back the memories when I was playing my first Pokemon game featuring the Hoenn series (generation 3 for those who don't know), Pokemon Pinball: Ruby and Sapphire version. I got wynaut before hand and I was freakin' curious at what it evolved into. Later when I caught Wobofet, I saw the connection on the Pokedex and I had to laugh. Now it makes me want to go into complete denial of even hearing of a Pokemon game.

Andrew Jackson is my hero; he's a really interesting guy to read up on. I actually did a report on him for school with the thesis that he is the second most important president after Washington.

For the first one, the man more or less accidentally slighted Jackson's honor. Neither wanted to kill each other so, with only one other man knowing what was going on, they both fired into the air and went home. The duel was fought, honor restored, and no one died.

Then Dickenson called Rachel Jackson a whore. So Jackson took a bullet, then shot him between the eyes.

It's real. The guy recently made a few new strips in celebration some significant anniversary of the comic's.

The fourth panel had Kaorin trying to backpedal with "N-not that I'm saying I'm a lesbian!"

And in the next comic she "proves" that she's straight by asserting that she'd be fine with Sakaki even if she were a guy.

Couldn't she just peel the banana and throw it? She doesn't really need to eat it; a robot that heavy's gonna crush the banana into paste, anyway. In fact, given that the slippery nature of banana peels is from residual banana paste, it would be more effective to throw the whole banana. More banana=more banana paste=more slippage. I saw it on the TV once, before the phrase "I read it on the internet" became popular (or meant much of anything, really). Of course, this all assumes her aim is to make the robot slip on the peels. Perhaps it's some kind of stunt, like she's going for "Most bananas eaten on the back of a motorized unicycle" and the robot just happens to be in the background, like the yellow cat here.
