So anyway, that semicolon lecture is semicool, but it doesn't touch on the fundamental rule: Don't abuse it. Semicolons can fit almost anywhere as long as you don't use more than one per thousand words or so. When used too often, they break the text.

Actually cats aren't too fond of belly rubs unless they really trust you. The belly is something of a weak spot for them, and they prefer if no one touches it--unless they trust them implicitly.

There's fences in the background on some of the pictures though, so I'm guessing Ock is right, and the guy knows the animals pretty well. Lions aren't THAT different from house cats, except house cats aren't big enough to kill you if you piss them off, probably.

I just recently found out that the pig is the fire starter for the fifth generation of the pokemon franchise. That's not a big deal except it's a freakin' pig, totally pathetic and most pokemon look like they have the stat imbalances that they really have, so the pig is probably gonna suck big time.

Biological Disaster Hits Kanto Region
By some grievous security breach, the Kanto region (which until recently, was only findable by certain Japanese businessmen) has been subject to a failed missile strike by biological scientist and madman Albert Wesker.
The missile never detonated and was confiscated by Kanto authorities for studies. In a disastrous move of incompetence, a trainer who was wandering the facility "in search of magnemite and voltorb", combined the containment units for the progenitor virus (the contents of the missile) and the largest known sample of pokerus (a contagious virus that augments pokemon growth). The resulting strain induced horrible mutations on any pokemon that came in contact with the virus, removing any rational thought, dangerously increasing combat capabilities and rendering them resistant to even the Master Ball.
The security breach itself is suspected to be caused by Team Galactic, in attempt to sabotage Team Rocket (specifically their leader, Giovanni) and destroy public support and government funding for their activities. Though there may be other organizations involved, all deny involvement.
Until the situation is resolved, all trainers are under orders to keep all uninfected pokemon in their PC slots until further notice. No civilians are to enter grass any taller than six inches. All trade centers are locked down to prevent further mutations. For those trainers who might be wanting to take advantage of the chaos, consider that all "legendary" pokemon are under quarantine to prevent a bad situation from becoming worse.
Protests have also begun as these enforcements make the Pokemon League impossible to run at the time. These protests are . . . (see "Pokerus Apocalypse, page H4).
