To see if I can hotlink from the Comcast inter-office mechandise site to outside internet sites.* If this works you should be able to see the new Comcast XFINITY Cultist Snuggie.....available for 12.99 in minimun quantities of 48...you know, for start-up cults everywhere. Comes in Red and Black.

oh I almost forgot to mention, what the fuck is this shit?Comcast is one of the largest cable providing entities in the US. We just bought NBC a month or so ago. It is a common joke within the company that we're also a power-hungry cult. Now it seems we have clothes to match. Also our founder looks like the pope. To me, he’s the Cable Pope. It's funny.

Yes, our home office has plastic people standing around for no reason.

You know if everyone showed up to work in one of those and you got some pictures the potential hilarity factor is through the roof.

Tev

Well if I could talk 47 other people into buying one with me, then we could do that. I'm not buying 48 of them on my own just for a laugh.

Fffftt - buying up broadcast companies to monopolize television, that's nothing.

If you want to compare power-hungry megacorp cults. I live in the shadow of Walmart's home offices.

You work for Comcast?

Can I direct my hatred for cable companies, especially the one that gouges into my wallet every month, at you?

Tev

May as well. Everyone else does. :sweatdrop

But yeah, I'm a dispatcher for them. I make the technicians go places and fix things.

I worked on a Comcast contract out of a call centre for about nine months. One day I hope to forget about it.

Yeah, I'm glad it only took me four months to claw my way out of that personal hell and over to the tech side of the industry.

When it was decided you should get the Red Snuggie!

I've seen those things pop up in the past year or so through the media, but not in passing life. Anyone actually own one?

Even in the paradise of Canada we have to deal with TELUS

People are slowly learning though.

Can I order, like, 10 of those Snuggies through you? I can pay you up front to get them to me.

Wait...

But yeah, I'm a dispatcher for them. I make the technicians go places and fix things.

So can you explain to me why 80% of the time when I would put a ticket through for any kind of maintenance, I'd check it like five minutes later, and it would be closed with the comment "customer issue" even though no one had ever been contacted?

Edit: This was years ago, but I remember at one point I actually tracked down some of the techie numbers so I could call them and tell them to do their goddamn jobs, but it drove my handle times through the roof, so I had to stop.
