So guess who broke their nose in two places last night? holy hell did it bleed as well seriously I have a t-shirt that is covered in crusted blood it's pretty shocking i'm pretty sure I looked like something out of a zombie flick with all the blood running down my mouth and chin.
Have to wait 5 days for the swelling to go down before I can get it reset which is a horrible wait. Any one have anything similar and know what I have to look forward to when they reset my nose?

I remember when I was a kid my mom tripped over the dishwasher door that fell down randomly and smashed her face into the fridge... blood was like pooling on the floor. Utterly disgusting.
But I've never broken a bone or cartilidge before so I unfortunately cannot relate but I do empathize. Hoping it heals up nicely for you.

Last week a member at my pool went down the slide head-first into 1.22 m water. Face vs floor. Floor won. Nose was probably broken, cuts and bruises everywhere. I'm just glad that there was no head trauma. It could have easily been a spinal.
And people wonder why I get angry at people who go down head-first.

I cracked my head open when I was small. I still have the scar, though its only noticeable when you know it's there.
I ran into a door. That's the only thing I'm sure of, as no two stories of what I've been told happened are the same, and I was too young to remember anything other than trauma.

A dog bit me in the face once. It was funny too because it was one of those moment where time slows down because in my head I totally went "Wow, I just got my nose and cheek ripped open and I can't see out of my left eye. I wonder if it was damaged? I wonder if this is a good time to panic. You know what, it is. I'm gonna start panicking now."
And then I did.
Also, it was just blood in my eye from the wound on my nose. No eye damage.

i've broken my left arm, 3 fingers off that hand, dislocated my left shoulder, cracked 3 of my left ribs, did something bad to my left knee, and have broken my left foot 3 times.
the left side of my body hates me
As for resetting stuff, its not too bad. It may be different for a nose though, since thats not really a bone.

Like Fenris never broken anything, though not for lack of opportunity. I must have fallen of several dozen trees or buildings during my youth. I did once puncture my foot all the way through by landing on a upturned broken off bit of root while playing Australian football at a picnic. That was utterly freaky. Spent a while with foot bandaged up and in a esky(a kind of cooler), thought it might be minor til we noticed the water in the esky was going bright red. Then we had a better look at it and realised it really wasn't minor.
Also got swept downstream and went over a waterfall after screwing up crossing a stream while hiking. And fell of a cliff while drunk once. You know this is probably all building up. At some point my bones are just gonna give up and reduce to dust while inside my body.

How'd it happen? Fight, accident, freak event or random jackassery?

I was playing soccer/football leaped up for a header on the ball one guy held me down around the shoulders another guys leaps up for it as well I end up squashing my nose on the side of some ones skull.. 15 minutes into the game..
It still doesn't really hurt just throbs a bit although it hasn't stopped bleeding yet still getting the occasional drip of blood from my nose >.> Also my eyes are slightly puffed up and very slightly blackened. i've a picture of my self waiting in A&E with the broken nose but it turns out it violates Image shacks image policy some how :<

Man, I never broke anything. Sure, I put a spoon in an outlet and managed to get a two inches long splinter in my foot, but never broke anything.
However!
My cousin once cracked his head open in a pool. Dove in head-first, so yeah.
My brother broke his arm by falling off a bike at which point he entered Russia and the bike rode his arm. Also once sneezed and hit a kitchen sink with his forehead, but that didn't break anything, somehow. Still has the scar, though.
My dad nearly cut his thumb completely off with a circular saw one time. Another time he crashed while waterskiing at thirty five miles an hour and *supposedly* kicked himself in the back of the head. Doctor said he'd never seen anyone in that bad of shape without being paralyzed.

I don't know if I broke my own nose in an accident or my brother broke my nose as a kid, but it clearly was broken since its visibly crooked and been that way so long as I can remember.

I've broken my right forearm and right shoulder. Both were long enough ago that i can't really remember it. With my shoulder, I didn't do the exercises I was supposed to do with it, so now I can't point my right arm straight up. I also managed to sprain both arms...recently enough to remember that really hurt.
I also managed to break the fluid sack in my knee by tripping in a gym class. It took me a few days to notice, I hit the floor chin first, so my head hurt a lot more than my knee did. I was pretty lucky I didn't bite my tongue or anything like that. It wasn't until my knee was swollen and hurt to move that I went to the doctor to get it checked out.
Never had anything that bleed real good, though. I'm not sure how I would react.

I broke my collar bone playing hockey from a check from behind into the boards. and was told that if I had been about an inch farther from the boards when I got hit I would have broken my neck.
And I cut my hand open on a meat slicer and nearly lost a pretty big chunk of my hand, but it was still attached by a flimsy piece of skin and they managed to reattach it.

I once almost cut the tip of my thumb off about 4/5 years back when I was modding my beyblade with a butcher knife (before I learned it was against the game's rules). Surprisingly, it didn't hurt all that bad. It took weeks for it to heal after they skin glued it back into place. Though the nail is growing fine. the skin under it looks misshapen.

Once when cycling down a gravelled hill track in our local forest, a dog came bursting out of the side woods in front of me, so I braked and swerved - I went clean over the handlebars, slid down the hill. Mainly cuts and bruises all over, except for my left arm which basically got sliced open completely around the elbow. Got bits of gravel embedded in my arm. I was in no state to continue riding, so I had to walk my bike ~1 mile back home, dripping gallons of blood along the way. Got a few odd stares but no help, people probably didn't realise my agony.
Eventually got to the local doctors surgery, and they had no choice but to extract all the gravel from my arm with tweezers. Absolute torture. Took about 3 hours as they had to ensure every little bit of stone was extracted before they bandaged me up. This was around 8 or 9 years ago as I was 13 at the time, and around my left elbow my skin is still purple and very blotchy.

I've been playing hockey for the last month with a tear in my rotator cuff (now mostly healed,) a pulled groin and a sprained MCL. The rotator cuff started swelling real bad a week ago, largely because I've still been doing martial arts as much as I can and playing hockey, and I got a case of bicep tendinitis. So in our playoff game last night I had one arm and one leg. It was not pleasant. I got into a fight as well, which was one of the most useless exercises of my life. On the plus side, I got to sit in the penalty box for 10 minutes, and we lost so I don't have to play anymore. (Yes, in Saskatchewan, we take our rec hockey this seriously.)
My cavalcade of injuries includes 4 grade-3 concussions, twice dislocated shoulder, broken right hand, torn achilles tendon, bruised femur (that one hurt like a bitch) and a reconstructed wrist due to multiple breakages+sprains.
Hockey's a hell of a drug, by the way.

Back in high school, I was knocked over backwards in a PE class and fell really hard onto my extended arms. I sprained both wrists and I think I must've chipped a chunk of bone off one.
Do you remember the scene in The Mummy where Jonathan is attacked by a flesh-eating scarab beetle and you can see it crawling around under the skin of his arm? Yeah. The chipped wrist looked a lot like that. It would have been cool if it didn't hurt so damn much.
I've also tripped and fallen face-first onto a concrete wheelchair ramp in third grade. I still have a scar on my chin from that adventure.
I'm so graceful.

In order:
_mike jump kicked me and broke a rib in third grade.
A girl slammed a lunchbox into my hand. There was an icepack inside. Broke my right thumb.
I dislocated my right knee hopping off of a pew. It seemed to happen in mid-air. I'm not sure how that worked. After popping it back into place, I dragged my leg around with my hands for another day before going to the ER and getting a brace.
I dislocated my other knee running bases in wiffleball. Again, not sure what happened. I walked that one off (after popping it back into place, too), never got it treated, and it still hurts three years later.
So, yeah, I have bad knees, I guess.
