On the right is Steve Jobs. On the left is Jonathan Pryce portraying Elliot Carver in the Bond movie Tomorrow Never Dies.

...So was Jobs the inspiration for Carver (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhnibJG96bg&feature=related#t=2m), or is it just a crazy coincidence? It might just be me, but there's something just... menacing about Steve Jobs. Anyone else get that vibe? Like... when he smiles it's as if he's smug because he's just fired starving orphans from Apples starving orphan division.

In the flick, Pryce plays an evil head of a multinational cable network, not with world domination plans, but just the hope that his voice gets heard. And to make sure it gets heard, he starts manufacturing World War III between China and Britain so that after they create the story - by killing numbers of innocent people - they have the rights to the story.

Elliot Carver: Mr. Jones, are we ready to release our new software?
Jones: Yes, sir. As requested, it's full of bugs, which means people will be forced to upgrade for years.
Elliot Carver: Outstanding.
Elliot Carver: Soon I'll have reached out to and influenced more people than anybody in the history of this planet, save God himself. And the best he ever managed was the Sermon on the Mount.
Elliot Carver: Mr. Wallace, call the President. Tell him if he doesn't sign the bill lowering the cable rates, we will release the video of him with the cheerleader in the Chicago motel room.
Mr. Wallace: Inspired, sir.
Elliot Carver: And after he signs the bill, release the tape anyway.
Mr. Wallace: Consider him slimed.

Jobs needs to face Pierce Brosnan and die by drill in the end.

I think the important fallcy in this train of thought is the assumption that Steve Jobs isn't a Bond Villain already.

It's true, Jobs is beyond creepily villainous.

And there's always this (http://admin.cracked.com/article_18377_5-reasons-you-should-be-scared-apple.html).
