View Full Version : If You'll See Here, The Forums Have A "Top Ten Posters" List
Here (http://boardreader.com/sp/Nuklear_Power_Forums_16356.html) and here. (http://boardreader.com/domain/nuklearpower.com?ref=MutluMarket.com#top_in_sites)
Huh. I think this has been linked before, but this site apparently goes by week, so it's nice to see the internets spying on us this week.
Why is LiteErotica.com linking to NPF?
Every link to NPF is a nerd link.
Every one.

Wow. I'm top poster this week?? But I hardly do anything. I RP a lot, but otherwise?
Though there's quite a few errors on that site. Still, interesting.

Who on earth (and more worryingly, why) would link to us from a place like Literotica?
If I weren't about to go to sleep and promptly forget the whole thing, this would be bothering me all night.

Why wouldn't they? (http://nuklearpedia.com/doku.php?id=colors_of_magic_colors_of_love&s=colors%20magic)
Every so often I find out about something and it makes me go Man, I wish I was Fifth.
Colors of Magic, Colors of Love? That's one of those things.

You didn't know about it?
I'd be really interested in whether the links on Literotica are really to COM;COL.
And whether those links are in a "Hey, guys, this is hilarious!" or in a "Hey, guys, this is so sexy!" context. Because the latter would make me feel unclean.

It's both, definitely both.

If you click on latest inbound links and then external you can actually track where the links came from and if they were from a forum topic what it was about.
Apparently that site has a webcomic thread which links here. At least we know NPF is popular I guess? That's....something? I wish it had been for COM;COL though. That would have been amusing.

I'm pretty sure sites like that make "top" lists based on the number of posts. Quantity does not equal quality and is a dubious ranking system on the Internet.
However, it is good to remind yourselves that nearly everything online can and usually does get archived somewhere.
Now that you put the idea in my head I'm going to pretend it's really a bunch of people on a FCC style ratings board, scouring the internet in their fancy suits and their balding heads, arguing about the quality of posters on random forums so that they may compile them into this, the master list of good, tasteful posting.
If they want good, tasteful posting, why are they coming to NPF?
They want to be outraged.

ha ha ha ha
That would be such a horrible job. Imagine the terrible things you'd have to come across while looking for the good. No, wait, don't.
Ah, crap, you did, didn't you? That means it exists.
Hey, I'm number five!, that's.... sad.
But par for the course!
