Literally anything. What particular thing do you think I should know more about and take an interest in? An interesting activity? A clever methodology? A delightful entertainment? A high-quality product available at scandalously low prices? Please, enlighten me.

Persona 4 for the PS2. It takes everything that was ever bad about Persona 3, a good game in its own right, and tosses it out the window, then takes everything that was ever good about it and makes it even better. The game is simply sublime and my only major complaint is that I spoiled myself by reading the Wikipedia article before I bought it.

The characters are all incredibly human with human flaws, rather than the generic stocks (albeit GOOD generic stocks) that Persona 3 had, and while you may end up hating one or two of them, you'll end up doing so because you logically realize that they can't hear you yelling at them through the screen to stop being so immature. The cast is quite three-dimensional. Symbolism is more subtle this time around, but the enemy types do tend to reflect bits of people's psyches that really hint at the inner thoughts and fears of the people you're trying to rescue.

The interface has been streamlined from Persona 3's often-long sequences for social link stuff and other grievances, as have damage types, with all physical damage counting as a single type, which works surprisingly well with the system now treating it much more like an element, with the overall effect of it paradoxically mattering more than in P3.

Your social links actually have direct combat effects now, too. By advancing your relationships with individual party members, they gain helpful abilities in combat that range from executing instant critical hits to taking fatal hits for you, which is a literal lifesaver given the game still ends if the main character dies. It also ends if you fail to save people from being murdered, but unlike P3's driving pace making the game feel like a second job with a horrible boss, P4 gives you plenty of time to work with and encourages you to train as much as you like before beating the next boss. In many cases, you'll end up with over a week of in-game free time to work with to increase your social stats.

Finding it at this point may be hard and expensive, but if you like turn-based combat systems with an emphasis on tactics, mysteries, and role-playing, it's well worth the effort and money.

Cloak & Dagger (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloak_and_Dagger_%28movie%29). The kid actually shoots somebody on the orders of his imaginary video game friend. It's freaking awesome!

There is also Breaking Bad. Season 2 is what television was created to show.

Comics!

I was looking to getting into Inhumans yesterday, with the War of the Kings event and all, and it just happens it was tied to incredibly awesome Annihilation/Nova/Guardians of the Galaxy series so read/reread those. I also plan on acquiring Absolute Sandman I next month. If you want to end with the few happy moments in your life, get Jimmy Corrigan.

Books!

Got into some Pos-Apocalyptical lately, with Canticle for Leibowitz and Earth Abides(I also bought The Road, but it wasn't my cup of tea). I plan on buying The Name of The Wind and Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell someday for a Fantasy fix.

TV!

...I think the only I still watch on TV is Dexter...

BUT I got the first season of Breaking Bad and I reccomend watching the whole thing. Bookie has been bitching me to watch The Wire for a couple of months, so there.

Anime!

The last thing I watched was...Kure-nai, some months ago. Even before that, Eden of the East, which unfortunately relies on theatrical films to end the story and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei(Just remember to turn your nonsense radar Off).

Eveybody in this forum knows you dig Baccano!, so you'll probably enjoy Durarara.

Webcomics!

Regardless, to go with your suggestion/rebuke...

The Bible (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bible). All of it. Especially (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%203:16&version=NASB) those (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephesians%202:4-9&version=NASB) parts (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Acts%204:11-12&version=NIV) pertaining (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans%205:12&version=NASB) to (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans%2010:13&version=NASB) eternal (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+10:28-30&version=NIV) salvation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvation).

Preferably New American Standard for best accuracy, but if its too wooden (literal translations of another language are often awkward) the NIV is ok and is much easier. Available for free here (url=http://www.biblegateway.com/) if you don't have much cash. If you don't want to read all 66 books that comprise it (understandable) I'd recommend John (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+1&version=NASB) or Luke (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%201&version=NASB) especially (the New American Standard Bible has excellent cross-reference notes if you want to check them out). This should be followed up by becoming a Christian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian)! Hey, I'd like to meet you and hang out for a millennia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eternity) or two (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation%2021:5&version=NIV) one day (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Film/GroundhogDay?from=Main.GroundhogDay)!

What? I'm one of those evangelical fundamentalist wierdos studying for my Bachelors of Science in Bible, what do you want from me?
All right, how about Os Guiness (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Os_Guiness)' The (http://www.amazon.com/Call-Finding-Fulfilling-Central-Purpose/dp/0849944376/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1272333836&sr=8-3) Call (http://productsearch.barnesandnoble.com/search/results.aspx?WRD=The+Call%2C+Os+Guiness)?

i would honestly suggest a new Hobby, something you can invest time and some money in it. Did you do/did some 3d Modeling?

Now, i've just started on GunPla myself, but it's not limited to that at all. Cars, Bikes, Boats, Nasa Vehicles... a Good model can take the better part of a Month to put together and it's full of optional steps you can take the more "pro" you want to be. From simple sanding and Lining to flat out Custom painting.

The entry fee for such hobby can be around US$100 if you take a couple of models (or a really nice one) and a VERY sturdy pack of tools (except painting).

It's arts & craft at it's finest and i got really excited about it. Some of the Basic kits can have around 150 parts each ant the better ones can peak at the 500 parts

I don't know if they're youtube or netflix, but if you can find them, check out Buster Keaton's The Playhouse, Sherlock Jr., The Boat or The Balloonatic. Buster Keaton was an absolute genius who wrote all his own material, did all his own stunts, owned his own studio, and created stunts and visual gags that are still being stolen by cartoons and visual comedians today. His silent films are still hilarious after all these years, and the technical aspects are absolutely stunning given the level of technology that was available at the time. (Especially considering that most modern stunt actor safety equipment hadn't been invented yet, and that all film editing had to be done with a pair of scissors and a bottle of glue.) Keaton beats Charlie Chaplin, hands down.

Books:
I just finished Cyrano de Bergerac and I highly recommend it. It's smart, funny, and yet ends on a painful note. While some of the characters are a bit stockpile, they're all likeable.

Plus it features a duel in which Cyrano simultaneously beats the crap out of a dude and makes up an insulting theme song for the fight.

The Count of Monte Cristo is fantastic too, although it constantly makes you wonder whether Monte Cristo is the most awesome guy in the world or a complete asshole.

Oh please, it's never been "cool", and you know it. ... Save for, like five centuries or so in Europe and Asia Minor. Also North Africa. Oh, and also when the USA was founded. And that one time they had a renaissance in England, which may or may not be Europe. Also, possibly, when a bunch of monk-knights created hospitals across three continents... that was pretty cool, I guess.

Also: hey! I'm a posuer! It's cooler because it sounds vaguely french! (Aaaand, I think I'm threadjacking so I'll shut now).

Ever read AirGear? If not check it out. It's a pretty good manga. The anime is good too but It never got finished (to my knowledge anyway).

Another great manga to check out is Mahou Sensei Negima. I haven't read much of it but it's a pretty good long runner and it's only half way finished so far. It'll keep you occupied.

Also be sure to check out the Magical Pokaan anime (I loved the hell out of it).

And may be check out the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha animes. But word of warning, I'd advise skipping the first 6 episodes of the first season since it doesn't get good till episode 7 (around the time Fate appears).

And maybe check out the UFO Princess Valkyrie (UFO Ultra Maiden Valkyrie in the DUB) anime. I liked the first 3 seasons (Love season 3 the most though) But I couldn't get into season 4. You might like it you might not. This one is really a hit or miss.

And yeah sorry that nearly all of my recommends (except for a few namely AirGear) contain a catgirl/doggirl in them (UFO PV has an army of catgirls working for main cast sort of). It was honestly a fluck really (not that I'm ashamed of it).

Oh and Rozen Maiden, Get Backers, and King of Bandit Jing. Watch those too they are great animes (except Rozen Maiden which is hit or miss do to all the damn plot holes that never seem to get explained. It got X-Files bad the last time I checked it several years ago.)

Oh and why not give Black Cat a try too if you haven't seen the anime or read the manga yet.

Plant a tree. Preferably one with nice fruit.
Maybe a a pear tree.
If you're going to plant an apple tree you should make sure it's a sour apple tree. I can't stand those sweet shit apples. That's not how apples should taste.

Then give the fruit to the poor people in the streets. They'll throw them back at you because it's not booze, but then you'll tell them it may one day become must and they'll beg you to give them back but you'll just say "No, you can't have them.".

Then they'll be sad, but they'll plant their own trees with the seeds you left them and there will be a beautiful forest and a new scientific breakthrough (Trees attract cars. Yeah, we've known that for years but those guys will come up with irrefutable proof)

Do it for our planet. And do it for science.

If it's between this or Shadow Hearts: Covenant, do you still recommend Persona 4?

I have SH:C collecting dust, and figure maybe I'll get Persona when I finish it.. But I have a feeling maybe I should get it while the gettings good, considering the PS2 titles are slowly but surely disappearing off store shelves and starting to generally become harder to find..

I hope recommending another sprite comic isn't breaking an unspoken rule, but here's my recommendation:

The only great pseudo sprite web comic. (http://tangent128.name/depot/kid_radd.zip)

8 Bit and Captain SNES are the two great sprite web comics, but Kidd Radd technically makes fake sprites, so that's why I call it "pseudo sprite". But it's a fantastic read.. One of the best webcomics ever.

Unfortunately, the homepage is dead, but I linked you to an existing archive of the entire webcomic. It has some issues with IE, so you'll need to play it in Firefox.. And even than, the few times they use music it won't work right.

If you can somehow get an old copy of IE, that would be ideal.. But yeah, just read it. It's too good not to experience once..

I don't own the Shadow Hearts series, but I have seen the first game a bit from an old friend. I can say it's a totally different feel. Maybe Persona 3 would be closer, but Persona 4 is a much lighter affair.

That said, if you're in for a much lighter affair, and a look into the life of a Japanese high school student, it's a great example of a mish-mash that just works, like how on paper, Cowboy Bebop being a mixture of jazz and space opera sounds odd, but turns out to be the best thing ever. Persona 4 mixes exploring generated dungeons with dating sim sequences and some pretty sweet music that splits the difference between J-pop and hip-hop with a bit of jazz that has near-universal appeal, with a heaping dose of world lore ranging from Japanese mythology to Hindu to the Goethe to Kabbalism and more, wraps it up in a serial murder mystery, and populates it with characters that transcend simple stocks most JRPGs use to pad the roster.

Tool-jewel.

The show Psych is pretty funny, I'd recommend that! I think they are on season 4 on TV but seasons 1-3 should be available on DVD by now. I'm hooked beyond all reason.

HA HA HA HA HA no. That would require actual effort on his part.

I have a recommendation, Fifth. I recommend you draw me that avatar I asked for in your other thread. Pretty please?
