Unfortunately, I'm going back to Edmonton tomorrow, but I'll see about it next time I'm in BC.

There are people who actually want to go back to Edmonton?

Man though, I wished Calgary did something cool like that.

Which of our forumites are in B.C, or a nearby province? Actually, where is everyone? I'm on Vancouver Island.

If you must know, I am in a small town outside Edmonton.

Sorry, man, I didn't realise your problem.

I pay around 85 cents a litre for gas. I also don't have HST. I can also get to places by driving without being caught in traffic for two hours because my city needed to build a new bridge like, ten years ago.

Bit don't bother. Krogo is from Calgary.

Oh, Calgary. That explains it.

Sorry, Kro. Seriously man, that's.... ouch.

What? We actually have things down in Calgary to do. You guys have...a mall? It's not even the best mall anymore.

Yeah no, Calgary's great. I mean, that rodeo is sure.... a rodeo.

I'm gonna stick with my weekend festivals and famous theatre scene, myself.

Edit: Our mall isn't the biggest anymore. It's still the best.

I was at the event yesturday. Was pretty damn neat, especially the fire poi performances. Too bad I didn't see you there Lev. (Doesn't help that trying to meet new people in the dark in a park with almost no lights is a pretty futile endeavor.)

It's raining Canadians in this thread!

So is this a weekly event that a group runs or is it part of the community itself?

.

In The snow? Theatre scene? You mean the drunk guys around there?

You know what we should do. Take this burning thing one step farther and show up Vancouver, by Burning Red Deer down. Seriously, no one will miss Red Deer.

Well, do you know any other place in Alberta we can jointly burn so we can show Vancouver how bonfire's are really done?

Leduc, Drayton Valley, Thorsby, Millet, Grand Prarie.

Grand Prairie is to far north, Red Deer is so smack dab in the middle. And not only that, we'd get rid of the Red Deer Rebel's too, so it's win win! And it would allow for a Big Bonfire then any of the other places.

How about Lacombe? Isn't that the neighbouring city?

I had some holdups and got there a little after 11 with a full pot of real chai for everyone, and I was one of the last 4 people to leave (crystal and her friend brought some blankets out from trout house and we had a cuddle puddle which ended up in the back of my friends car, this morning was full of pancakes and massages.

Real chai+cuddle puddle+pancakes+massage. It really sounds like a code for some other interesting behaviors when strung together.

I thought the same thing. Which is odd. 'Cause I live here. And I don't recall the fire ><
