ITT we discuss the scariest thing you've done recently.
Mine was to drive an 8 m hunk of aluminum with a 150 hp engine through 2 m waves at 60 kph. When I was empty my prop was leaving the water; when I was loaded my bow was nearly dipping under the crests. And I had no bilge pump to take out the spray, so I was slowly sinking.
Fun!
Share and enjoy!

I've been looking for work. That may not sound scary until you realize how bad the market is, especially for a guy with an Associate's and no experience. Everyone wants a Bachelor's and/or at least two years in the field in a related capacity.
Then you have this bumping around: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Outofwork-job-applicants-told-cnnm-3498252371.html?x=0

No I'm pretty sure krogo just ended the thread.I babysat my twin cousins (2) and their sister ( < 1 ) with my sister.
Wen spent ... the whole time doing shit. Like, with a little practice I might have gotten half an hour somewhere in there. And these are seriously the most mild mannered babies in the history of babies. Twins went down at 7, their sister went down at about 9, didn't fuss from being tired, etc. etc. no problems at all. Just... attention occupying.
And then I was like shit. Kids.
I'm probably going to have one of these one day.
I died a little inside.

Hunted a grizzly with a muzzleloader from behind a brush "wall." I thought I was going to die until the bear came into view. Then it became a certainty. I fired, smoke billowed out so I couldn't see anything, I waited to die. Smoke cleared, and the bear was on the ground. I now have a new rug. It's nice.

Took my dad's zodiac boat (if you've never seen one, it's a small inflatable raft with a motor, oversized motor in this case) out onto whitewater and fought the current.

I watched Flandres (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0450680/), and I was scared that the sheer, ugly shabbiness, dullness and stupidity of it was going to kill me.

Fear is relative, what scared me the most? Bike accident I guess, feared I'd never walk again.

That's not something you've done recently. Unless you decided to play chicken with a car. ;)

Installed new lightswitch in my own bedroom (because when I was at college, my sister's friend replaced the old one for a dimmer, which then drove me insane, because dimmers do not work with non-dimmer lightbulbs and ceiling fans. Seriously, she wanted a dimmer because she wanted the fan to go slower, and didn't just, y'know, pull the fan cord twice! So whenever light or fan is on, there is this ceaseless buzzing noise and the light keeps flickering. GRAAAH Personal space invaded and fucked up) without any electrician experience.
Lets just say I had a metallic taste in my mouth for an hour or so, and I now type this in a room solely lit by a small bedside lamp and the glow of the computer screen. Don't worry, Pyros getting zapped with large quantities of electricity is nothing new!

Tried to join an MMO. Damn you crippled social skills!
Srsly tho, in hindsight I would have to say getting under our van to help my family fix something-I think it was a flat tire, but I can't remember too well.
Why that? When I got out from underneath it finally, they told me there'd been a big yellow spider crawling near my head. I did not shit my pants, but only because that crap jumped up into my stomach instead.

I was in a car accident about a month-month and a half ago. It was pretty scary when a drunk driver ran that light and pulled out in front of me.
