Pros/Cons
Wear or Not?

Unless you're honestly worried about people kicking you in the crotch on a daily basis, I'm gonna go ahead and say no.

Cons: They are uncomfortable, and restrict access to your meat stick.

Pros: They are not as uncomfortable as getting kicked in the junk.

Qualifying question 1: Do you expect to get kicked in the junk a lot?

If Yes: Put one point toward 'wear a cup'.

Qualifying question 2: Do you have incontinence issues that require you to go to the bathroom often?

If Yes: Put one point toward 'do not wear a cup'.

Qualifying question 3: Are you promiscuous?

If Yes: Put one point toward 'do not wear a cup'.

Add your points together for your answer. In the case of a tie, default to 'do not wear a cup'.

There useful and effective but it's a bit unnecessary most of the time unless your playing sports/fighting.

It'd be a waste of money to get one unless to truly need it which more the half time, the average male usually won't need it.

If you're playing hockey, wear one always. I remember when I was 14, and I was playing goal for my hockey team I went down for a shot. It hit me in the crotch, there was an audible crack, and then my cup felt weird. So the whistle goes, I reach down, and discover that it had broken into four pieces.

Long and the short of it: I can have kids because I wore a cup.

Also: Big myth, it just keeps things from being smushed. It still hurts to be hit there, all the energy is just being jammed into your pubic bone instead of your jubblies. I would recommend that any crime fight wear one, though understand everyone will think you have an erection at all times.

Qualifying Question 4: Do you have an erection at all times?

If yes: Put one point toward 'wear a cup'.

I say we make codpieces fashionable everyday wear again. Give the ladies something to ogle.

Krylo

Why would you want to ogle a cod piece?

That's like dudes preferring madonna's giant cone bras to a girl just wearing a tight shirt.

You should be trying to make tight pants fashionable.

Oh, you can tell if they're the right size.

Like the old, old saying goes, "A frank face may hide a false heart, but a full codpiece never lied."

To be honest... If I found out a guy was wearing a cup all the time, I'd honestly go "What the hell is wrong with you?"

Krylo

But you wouldn't kick him in the junk!

Be surprised at the damage Steel-Toed boots can do.

Good points, hygiene issues prolly factor some too. I'm getting some KM guys into my sparring circle, so a cup might be good, but again I've also heard stories about slippage and the cup slicing into the scrotal skin due to a "1 outside 1 inside" slip. Generally I prefer wearing a cup while sparring with girls, as it evens the field a little bit more in terms of low/high flow.

I'm trying to think up a joke for this which isn't overly mean.

Perhaps it is not the joke that is mean, but it is you.

I was hoping we wouldn't have to worry about Darth SS offspring, but it looks like the damnable cup is torturing the world again!

On a side note: My friend lost a testicle during hockey by improperly wearing a cup and getting hit with a slapshot. The idiot had the thing slip and decided to not correct it. He wish he had now!

Put 500 points toward "do not wear a cup if you don't know how to wear it".

This seems to be a good point to end at.

Also, a heads up to Lev, another problem with cups:

If you're trying to hurt someone with a cup, you reach down, grab it, and pull back. When you let go, the elastics snap it back into their twig 'n berries with the fury of a thousand angry norse horsemen. KM guys WILL do this to you. You will not be standing after.

Hmm, that's a good point. I've sparred against KM before and they usually can't do a whole lot to the low center anyway if you chase them with circular bagua and manipulate their shoulderline. Though, I'm not super worried about intentional damage, I'm more worried about unintentional damage as that is pretty invisible, or at least very difficult to translate vrs the order and clarity of a conscious movement.

I am utterly disappointed that this was not a discussion about the various sizes of breasts.

You capitalists disgust me.
