I recently declared my love of the Pittsburgh Steelers, but I am also a huge fan of the the Ohio State Buckeyes. You see I grew up in Northeast Ohio. That is right, I am a Steeler fan that grew up surrounded by Brownie fans, which I believe contributed to developing my charming personality. Anyway the Buckeyes look pretty good so far, as they beat a very talented Miami Hurricane team last week. I know that Alabama and perhaps Florida match up favorably against OSU right now, but I do think they are capable of winning the rest of their games and going to the BCS Championship Game. I just hope they are ready to play and win that game if they get there.
So I have told you my college football thoughts, now lets hear what the rest of you have to say. Go Buckeyes! :D

Beat? More like slaughtered! It was ridiculous!
Also happy that Boise State won against VT, at VT. That was great. Next up on the challenge list, Oregon State (though technically they have to face Wyoming first, but I don't think that'll be an issue).

Arkansas looks like it might win a majority of its games this year.
I'm just gonna hate every single damn home game because I work on campus during game days and the university shuts down most of the parking and cops redirect the damn traffic despite me needing to actually get to work and shelf some damn books for 6 hours.

As a resident of Tuscaloosa, Alabama...
Let me just say there's one home game in PARTICULAR you're going to hate this year. :3

I only said a majority, not all of them. It'd be a sign of the Endtimes if the Razorbacks actually made it to a higher-end championship.

They'd have a better chance if they weren't in such a hard conference.

Go-go MSU trick plays! That was pretty impressive, but they'll have to try harder than that to one-up Boise State's Fiesta Bowl play. :)

The Buckeyes killed Ohio 43-7 last Saturday, next up an even worse MAC team in Eastern Michigan. Wake me when the away game at Illinois comes.
Bama looks like the best team so far, of course everyone where I live believes that South Carolina will win the SEC. Next at Auburn and then home against Bama should say otherwise.
I wish the Buckeyes could play Boise State, then we could see just how good those Broncoes are.

I'm rooting for the Bronco's all the way!
I like the Smurf Turf!

Wow, it's getting crazy here in Fayetteville.
The Alabama-Arkansas game is tomorrow afternoon, it's been sold out for a week and people have been camping out in line since Monday. The Goodyear Blimp's been flying around town as well.

Well, good job Boise State on the win over OSU, despite the Special Teams. And Alabama easily put away the Razorbacks, as well as Ohio State owning EMU. But man, what happened Longhorns? UCLA destroyed you!

The Buckeyes usually do not run up the score, but I think they were just a little miffed at EMU scoring three TDs against the first team defense. Next up at Illinois, we should win this one, but the Illini usually play inspired against the Buckeyes.
In other local news, Gamecock fans were hit with terrible truth. Once again they have a pretty good team, but they come up short in the big games.
I loved watching the Longhorns getting crushed at home by a supposedly inferior team, hopefully the Sooners can do the same thing this week.
Boise State continues to impress, but that blue turf is horrible. I could only watch that game a few minutes at a time.
Alabama survived a scare against the Razerbacks, but will they be ready for the Gators? This could be the most competive game yet in the SEC this season.
I am looking forward to more great games this coming weekend. Go Buckeyes!

So holy crap, what a change. Alabama LOST to the Gamecocks 35-21, and I knew they were going to fall back, but to EIGHTH?! Man.
Nevada's up to #19, and if they keep it up they will be the last big hurdle for BSU, which is now ranked at #3 (again).
So it's Ohio State, Oregon, BSU, TCU, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Auburn, Alabama, LSU, and rounding out the top ten is now South Carolina. Good job guys.
It's worth noting that this is the first time since I think 2008 that an SEC team HASN'T held the top spot in the nation. I tell you what, the end of the season definitely isn't going to be neat and tidy...

The Buckeyes have a tough test at Wisconsin this week, and it shoud be a pretty tight game. I say OSU survives 31-24.
SC beating Alabama shocked me so much that I started a mindless thread because of it.
Boise State really needs Nevada to continue winning and be highly ranked when they play, still I would like to see the Buckeyes versus the Broncos sometime in the near future. It would be a very good game.
Nebraska looks like those really good teams from the late nineties, and I look forward to seeing them beat down the Texas Longhorns.
Go Buckeyes!

AMG YES OHIO STATE LOST :DDDDD
And Boise is CRUSHING SJSU, of course. TCU won 31-3, Nebraska lost 20-13 to Texas, South Carolina lost as well, and Alabama won is winning their game handily. SO looking forward to the new rankings.

I am very disappointed in the Buckeyes right now, and Boise State probably would beat them. I have not been this depressed since USC 35, OSU 3.
In other news, the world makes sense again as SC lost to a team they should have beaten.

However, unfortunately for Boise State, Nevada is getting thrashed by Hawaii and has yet to score a point.

So the new #1 and #2 would be Oregon and Boise State, respectively, and yet, according to the BCS standings, #3 Oklahoma would actually be #1 in the nation for the National title game, pitting the Sooners against the Oregon Ducks. Stupid WAC being an overall weak conference. It's no wonder that Boise State is leaving for the Mountain West Conference next year. And, even better, TCU is in that conference. Should be good to see that next year, provided Boise State can find a replacement for Kellen Moore.

If the Big 12 wants to remain the Big 12, maybe they should get Boise State and TCU. The conference would be strengthened, and both teams would be in a conference that actually counts.
I hope Ohio State plays better the rest of the season, if not they will get killed at Iowa, and they could have trouble against Michigan, and then we would probably see them in the Outback Bowl against End Times Harbinger South Carolina.
At least the Steelers are still one of the best teams in the NFL. Here we go, Steelers, here we go!

Goddamn I hate Computer Rankings worse then Poll Rankings. Seriously they don't even make sense. BCS is Skynet! Goddamnit I want a freakin Playoffs. What kinda stupid sport doesn't have a playoffs.
Don't worry, the Steelers will shit the bucket as well at some point. Every other Team in the NFL this year has decided to do that, why shouldn't the damn Steelers too!

Agreed. Though on strength of schedule alone I can see why Oklahoma is #1 over Oregon and BSU. Doesn't mean I agree with it, but I see the logic there.

@Synk - lol@your message title.
Well, Oregon trounced UCLA, no surprise, but they did finally relent their 4th quarter shutout. First time all year that they've allowed points in the 4th quarter. It was by QB Option and it was vs. the Oregon 2nd string, but it still happened.

What. The. Hell. Oregon shows WHY they're #1 in both AP and Coaches Poll and yet the BCS Computer polls throw Auburn from 4th to 1st?! That's. That's just disgusting.

If the number one team keeps on losing each week, we could still possibly see a Ohio State versus Boise State national championship.
This week Auburn, after playing several tough games in a row, plays a potentially dangerous Ole Miss, which features Cam Newton wanabe, Masoli. Also the Oregon Ducks play the USC Trojans, who feature a Junior Varisity defense and an All-American offense. Gameday is in town, and that has spelled doom for the highly ranked visitor for the last three weeks.
Also of interest is Michigan State (this year's "team of destiny") at Iowa. It would be good for the Buckeyes if the Spartans lose, but if they do not improve greatly by the middle of Novemeber, they will get killed at Iowa themselves. Meanwhile, OSU plays at celler-dweller, Minnesota, has a bye, and then hosts surprisingly average Penn State. Go Buckeyes!

You know what would be awesome? BCS Champ game TCU vs Boise!

That could possibly happen. There really is no truely dominant team in the power conferences, which means that we could end up with a lot of high level one or more loss teams at the end being compared to undefeated Boise State and TCU, who we know are really good. They just are stuck in weaker conferences. It could be quite a mess, which is good. That way we may get that playoff system that seems to work in every other sport known to humankind.

Even if there is a lot of one-loss teams with TCU and Boise State being undefeated, chances are that Alabama and, let's see, I'll go with Ohio State or Oklahoma, would be in the championship game. TCU's and BSU's in-conference schedules are mostly filled with very weak teams, exception being TCU vs. Utah and Boise vs. Hawaii/Nevada. The strength of schedule of the major conference teams will dwarf them, which is complete BS, but it is likely that it will happen. :/

Unless something extraordinary changes, we will probably see Oregon vs. Auburn/Alabama in the National title game. On the plus side, we could possibly see Ohio State vs. Boise State in the Rose Bowl.
