1 Pack of ramen noodles
3 drops sesame oil
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 egg
a bit of sesame seeds.

Boil ramen like normal. When ramen noodles are cooked, turn off the heat and immediately (without waiting for it to cool) crack the egg into the noodles and stir it in (a fork works best because you want to break up the egg before it cooks). Put in normal ramen noodle seasoning (assuming you used chicken, beef, or pork and not something wierd). Add the sesame oil, soy sauce, and sesame seeds then stir. Its important not to use too much sesame oil because it can be overpowering in even small quantities. It also helps to have just barely enough water to boil the noodles in because it leaves you with a thicker, eggier broth. Your cooking skill has improved one point.

EDIT: You may also try putting in some chopped up green onions. Not a whole lot of flavor, but it makes it more visually appealing.

EDIT AGAIN: Seriously I live on this stuff. You can make it for like 5 people for like... a dollar.

Post your tasties.

1 Cup uncooked rice
3 stalks fresh broccoli
1/2 bag pre-cooked frozen chicken breast (use fresh if you have the time to cook it)
1 can corn
Soy sauce

Prepare rice on stove or in microwave as you prefer. Heat/cook diced chicken in a large pan. Cut broccoli to desired length and steam. Heat canned corn. When all ingredients fully prepared mix in pan with chicken add soy sauce to taste.

This is really just a simple stir fry I'd put together when I didn't have a lot of time between afternoon and evening classes while I was in school. Mostly it's just a good base that you could spruce up and add to as you'd like.

For steaming broccoli (and heating the corn separately) I use this (http://www.viewpoints.com/Pampered-Chef-Small-Micro-Cooker-reviews). Wash the broccoli before you cut it, once it's all placed in the micro-cooker rinse it again. Strain any extra water through the lid but leave the rest on it. Microwave on high for 3 minuets. tends to be cheaper than a veggie cooker I think.

I do the same thing, but add more beef stock, soy sauce and hot sauce.

To add it better, take old meat, like leftover chicken or beef and add it in.

Take # steaks

Apply:

1 layer of Balsimic Vinegar
1 layer Virgin Olive Oil

1 layer Mustard Powder
1 layer Garlic Powder
1 Layer Onion Powder

Flip Steak and repeat Powder application

Apply Black Pepper and Sea Salt in whatever quantity you prefer.

Put in fridge and allow soaking for at least 6 hours. Be sure to flip the steak at the half-way point for an even soaking experience. Let is soak longer for more flavor!

Grill to your preference, and voila! Bitchin Marinated Steak.

Take x potatoes, some rosemary, onions, red pepper and bacon.

Dice potatoes and put into frying pan, let them cook most of the way through and then add bacon (fry in seperate pan), diced onions and red pepper and add the rosemary. Let the dish finish cooking then grate on a cheese of your choice (cheddar is a last resort).

This is a dish that my family just wings it on in terms of time and amount, though keep in mind that more potatoes will take longer (even with a monster frying pan) and once you do it enough you can "sense" the change in the smell or sizzle or something that will indicate that it is ready.

1 can (10 3/4 oz) Condensed Cream of chicken soup
1 1/4 cups of milk
1 cup sweet peas or corn *I prefer the corn.*
1/2 cup dried cranberries
4 medium green onions, sliced (1/4 cup)
2 cups of cut up cooked turkey or chicken *Buying canned turkey works well here, honestly*
1 1/2 cups cornbread stuffing mix
1 cup bisquick mix
1/4 cup milk
2 eggs

Heat oven to 400F. Grease bottom/side of a 3-quart casserole dish.

In 3-qt saucepan, heat soup and 1 1/4 cups milk to boiling, stirring frequently. Stir in the peas, cranberries, and onions. Heat to boiling, stirring frequently. Remove from heat. Stir in Turkey and stuffing mix. Spoon into casserole.

In Small bowl, stir remaining ingredients until blended. Pour over stuffing mixture.

Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

^ Personal note: The very edges of the pan you use to cook this in, will burn black when it finishes properly. It will LOOK burnt, but it will taste fine and is a good way to tell if it's finished visually.

We don't have a lot of money, especially around the holidays in my current little family unit; we make due by making casserole instead of trying to hunt down all the fixings for a full Turkey dinner. It's more affordable, and easier to dole out equal shares to all 6 of us.

Here's one I whipped up tonight.

Pizza base (Lebanese bread or other flat breads can also work)
Tomato Paste
Fresh Tomato
Bacon
Cheeses
Prawns
Egg
Salami
Mushroom

Steam the prawns first and let them cool(small prawns or big prawns doesn't matter, well those foot long banana prawns are probably too big). Extras can be used for prawn cocktails or garlic prawns or something.

Spread tomato paste over pizza base, add herbs and seasonings you like (pepper, oregano, maybe some crushed fresh garlic)

Then place bacon, fresh tomato, mushrooms and prawns on the base and cover with cheese. Crack the egg over the cheese.

Then preferably cook it on a hot BBQ on a tray with holes in the bottom to crisp the base up, or a pizza oven, or regular oven if you lack the other two. Then bring it in and run it under a griller for 20 seconds to crisp up the cheese and fully cook the egg.

On temperatures and times,my BBQ's old and the temperature thing's gone, but for pizza I just use hot and eyeball how well it's done for time. Sorry.

take:

-2 slices bread (any variety)
-3 slices muenster cheese. When cooking, Muenster cheese is Best cheese due to its easy melting properties and mild taste.
-2 slices lean roast beef

prepare a pan accordingly, be it with butter or oil. alternatively, butter the bread itself.

arrange the sandwich with the cheese sandwiching the roast beef.

put sandwich on pan, flip occasionally. it is done when the cheese is fully melted.

while waiting for the sandwich to cook, you can make a small bowl of tomato soup.

congratulations, you have made a delicious grilled muenster and beef sandwich, with optional soup. you can thank me after the orgasm.

Whups. Missed this thread yesterday when I was making my own (http://www.nuklearforums.com/showpost.php?p=1078594&postcount=1). Lemme see more sammich recipes.

Normally sammiches aren't something I do a recipe for, I kinda just take some bread and whatever is in the fridge and put it together.

But now I am going to go get one of those sammiches because the mentioning of it has made me hungry.

Well... my contribution is less home-cooking and more of a treat...

Frothy Creamy Hot Choco.

Ingredients:
Chocolate Powder (I prefer Carnation but I guess you can use Nesquik or something like that)
Strawberry Powder (Once again, I prefer Carnation for this mix)
Milk
Whipped Cream (I advise aerosol can version for ease of use)

*Advise you to use a mug that you can microwave for several minutes without turning into a deathtrap. That means no metal mugs and glass that doesn't insulate*

Step 1: Get one spoonful of chocolate powder in a large mug.
Step 2: Get one spoonful of strawberry powder in same mug.
Step 3: Pour milk until it is 2 inches from the top.
Step 4: Stir until powder dissolves cleanly in the milk.
Step 5: Generously apply whipped cream on top until it reaches the brim and no higher
Step 6: Microwave for a minute, maybe a minute and 20 seconds.
Step 7: Take out and stir. The whipped cream should naturally be melted and stirred in with the rest of the chocolate milk.
Step 8: Apply another layer of whipped cream on top, trying not to make it go over the brim. You don't want it to melt over the brim.
Step 9: Microwave for another minute or until drink is suitably warm/hot for your taste.
Step 10: Apply the last round of whipped cream on top of your new layer of melted cream.

Enjoy.

Yes, it's a very simple and decadent drink!

Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

A large-ish box of Shell Pasta (Or Elbows, anything works really.) 1 pound or more.
Two cans of Chicken Broth
A small bag of frozen carrots
Some celery and an onion.
2-3 Large chicken Breasts or equivalent pre-cut chicken.

Cook the Chicken and cube it. I use a folding kitchen grill.
Cook the pasta and vegetables in the chicken broth adding water to make sure there is enough liquid.
Right before the noodles are completely done add the chicken.
Let it simmer for a bit longer and serve hot.
