I just saw something that never happens, the South Carolina Gamecocks dominated the number one ranked Alabama Crimson Tide. I expected the usual thing, SC falling flat on its face. Are there other signs of the Armagedden that we have missed? Well, I guess William Shatner winning two consecutive Emmys may have been another one. Am I just paranoid, or are in for other wierd and unexpected events? :ohdear:

They're birds that you shoot and you get them in a conservative state because they like guns. :B

Duke Nukem Forever might actually be released soon. Games Workshop released new Dark Eldar figures and codex after 10 year wait.
Only 2 I can think of right now.

Well, the sun isn't black as sackcloth, the moon isn't as blood, the dead haven't risen to feed on the flesh of the living, and Thadius isn't a moderator.
I think we're good.

Really Shyria?
“He will bring with him the symbols, and the missing piece of that sacred tablet now kept by the elders, given to him when he left, that shall identify him as our True White Brother.
“The Fourth World shall end soon, and the Fifth World will begin. This the elders everywhere know. The Signs over many years have been fulfilled, and so few are left.
“This is the First Sign: We are told of the coming of the white-skinned men, like Pahana, but not living like Pahana men who took the land that was not theirs. And men who struck their enemies with thunder.
“This is the Second Sign: Our lands will see the coming of spinning wheels filled with voices. In his youth, my father saw this prophecy come true with his eyes — the white men bringing their families in wagons across the prairies.”
“This is the Third Sign: A strange beast like a buffalo but with great long horns, will overrun the land in large numbers. These White Feather saw with his eyes — the coming of the white men’s cattle.”
“This is the Fourth Sign: The land will be crossed by snakes of iron.”
“This is the Fifth Sign: The land shall be criss-crossed by a giant spider’s web.”
“This is the Sixth sign: The land shall be criss-crossed with rivers of stone that make pictures in the sun.”
“This is the Seventh Sign: You will hear of the sea turning black, and many living things dying because of it.”
“This is the Eight Sign: You will see many youth, who wear their hair long like my people, come and join the tribal nations, to learn their ways and wisdom.
“And this is the Ninth and Last Sign: You will hear of a dwelling-place in the heavens, above the earth, that shall fall with a great crash. It will appear as a blue star. Very soon after this, the ceremonies of my people will cease.
“These are the Signs that great destruction is coming. The world shall rock to and fro. The white man will battle against other people in other lands — with those who possessed the first light of wisdom. There will be many columns of smoke and fire such as White Feather has seen the white man make in the deserts not far from here. Only those which come will cause disease and a great dying. Many of my people, understanding the prophecies, shall be safe. Those who stay and live in the places of my people also shall be safe. Then there will be much to rebuild. And soon — very soon afterward — Pahana will return. He shall bring with him the dawn of the Fifth World. He shall plant the seeds of his wisdom in their hearts. Even now the seeds are being planted. These shall smooth the way to the Emergence into the Fifth World.

And I'm still broke and lack and next Gen system.
So I'd say we are in the clear still.

Since before history was recorded, people have been telling other people that the world was ending within their lifetimes and as far as I'm aware, every single one has been wrong.

Can I just say that I go to USC? Can I also say that 2010 has been an amazing year for us?
It all goes back to January when we beat #1 Kentucky in Basketball. Then in July we won the CWS (baseball) by beating #1. And now we beat #1 Alabama. We are the only school to have beaten 3 #1 teams in three seperate sports in the same year. All thats left is Soccer, which we have a pretty good squad there too so I wouldn't be too surprised if we pulled that one off too.

Pfft. We haven't seen anything new out of Bethesda lately that isn't Fallout, and with no updates in God-only-knows-how-long, Diablo III is about as much vaporware as Duke Nukem Forever was in my book. So yeah, once Bethesda and Blizzard get off their fat asses and do something about my distinct lack of rpgs as of late, I'd say we're gettin there. Til then? We're sufferin for a while.

Hopi prothecy
Wasn't that thing revealed to the world only after like, the first 6 of those signs had already happened, and it was apparant mankind was building a space station that would inevitably one day fall back to earth?
Also it's been complete for a few decades now and not much has happened, so yeah, I call bullshit.

Don't mind me, I just am prone to starting mindless threads sometimes. I probably should have said "The Thread Killer declares the end of the world!" Anyway, I thought of another sign, Donnie Osmond won Dancing with the Stars last year, and he was horrible.
Oh, oh, oh, I've got one. The Lions still suck. So, I think we're in the clear. For now.

I keep seeing this thread thinking it was about the God Emperor of Mankind leading the ressurected loyalist primarchs and the rest of the heroes of the imperium against the foul never ending hordes of chaos. I finally viewed the contents and am now very disappointed.

The world is coming to an end. But fear not the inevitable. Remain calm, stay alert and above all: Have an open mind. With that you may just find the path to enlightenment in what appears to be chaos.

Check the sticky thread. It is officially on permanent hiatus/deleted/unfinished whathaveyou. The thread's gone too. I gave up. Too large an undertaking for a humble man such as I, living in the conditions and stresses that I do.
What I really mean to say is that LIBRARY INTERNETS SUCK ARSE.

Nah, that can only happen once the 4th (and main) Tyranid Hive fleet finally breaches the Segmentum Solar and is poised to snuff out the Astronomicon and consume all life on Holy Terra, while at the same time the Necron forces reach a 2nd stage galactic awakening, finally reviving the Void Dragon on Mars, ultimately revealing the corruption within the Adeptus Mechanicus and the folly of their ways while during the confusion Abbadon the Despoiler launches a surprise (and finally succesful) 14th Black Crusade against the Imperium of Man and turns innumerable planets to the vile forces of Chaos, finally giving the Ruinous Powers the strength they need to breach the Materium and wreak unholy Chaos across the galaxy.

I'm highly tempted to make a costume with a bunch of fake dragon heads and horns, spray paint the whole thing red, and wander around Premmy's neighborhood just to mess with people. Maybe try to stop in for Sunday dinner at some random person's house...

I think we have less to worry about now that South Carolina lost to a team they should have beaten. They have no shot at the national title, though they are still ahead of Florida for the SEC East. Has anyone ever wondered why the Southeastern Conference has a Western Division? Oh man, this is becoming one of my horrible Thread Killer threads.
