Anyone else got their lists up?

At first I was all, "Man, these are long lists."
And then I remembered that my lists are usually brief but more expensive.

I literally have no list this year. I have no idea what I want. I got my tablet last year and I'm happy as a clam with that, and anything else I kind of want is in the expensive "a ps3 or xbox 360" range.

Otherwise... uh. Maybe the new expansion pack for the Sims 3.

I too don't kinda know what I would want to get. And while there's is all things shiny and marvelous that I would like to have, I would rather buy them myself. 'Cause I just don't know why other people should do that.

But uh, canvas and paints would be pretty good deal so I can do hideous things against art.

All you fuckers with family and shit. My flatmates and I are all buying each other cheap whiskey and drink our sorrows away.

cheap whiskey

Oh, right, thanks BHS.

I lol'd.

I'm really just looking for something that can connect wirelessly to the internet at a decent speed. The gaming jib is just because I want to run The Orange Box. My experience with computers is limited to the Frankenstein monstrosity that I inherited when my mum bought the new "family" computer.

Living Bobbeh

Inception
Atomic Robo #4
NBA Jam

One from each family member. A simple but focused Christmas for me this year. I would had Scott Pilgrim but it doesn't come out until after Christmas, so I'm buying that myself (And the wait is killing me)

Oh, right, thanks BHS.

Better than last christmas which I spent in Tokyo airport- and not the good one.
Did you know it's pretty much impossible to buy power adaptors in Narita airport and there is like 1 money changer in the whole place? I sure do!
My christmas present that year was some kind of crazy japanese candy and some peanuts.

Call of Duty: Black Ops (Purchased by my girlfriend; oops, lol)

EMG-85, or -81 pickups for my Gee-Tar

An E-Reader of some kind. Any kind. I don't care. I just really want to be able to pick one up when my half-betazoid therapist comes in "to chat" when I'm in the middle of making a life-affecting executive decision.

There is no such animal. You could build a decent desktop with that, tho.

What I want?
A Tungsten Ring. Size 12.

And my degrees. But those are about 3 years away.

For a moment there I thought you wanted FFXIII and I was like "what is he smoking?"

For christmas all I'm asking for is some rep. Since that's the easiest/cheapest thing for you guys to give.

What will probably come up for me:
Drawing tablet
Laptop
4 lb. container of Red Vines
Whatever games I decide on.
Unforseen weird stuff that my non-immediate family will give.

I guess I just want to spend time with family. And DOGGIES! I like doggies.

There's nothing I really want that I won't already own before Christmas (ex: Inception blu-ray). And the only other stuff I could want are awesome PC games, but I'll just buy those with my own money during the Steam sale.

Arms and Equipment Guide
#Complete Scoundrel
Magic Item Compendium
#Player's Handbook II
Spell Compendium
Tome of Battle - Book of Nine Swords

Get these first, they have either mass bulk content such as Arms or MiC/SC, or they have different systems like Scoundrel has skilltricks or ToB has stances/maneuvers (aka how to play a fighter other than dungeoncrasher), and PHII is probably the best thing to hand a new player.

My wish list? Fire toys, anatomy books, money, classes.

While I have a long-ass list of things I'd like to have, I recently added this (http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/collectibles/e5ce/) to it--it'll be very useful if I should have to fight off Daleks in my hometown, or negotiate with Silurians or something.

I also want Yellow Submarine and SCTV and Mr. Show and Community season 1 on DVD and a buttload of vidjagames for my DS and some more Bob Dylan albums and that Dark Side of the Moon cover that the Flaming Lips did with that other band with Wayne Coyne's nephew or something in it and the rest of George Harrison's remastered solo albums and some more Pratchett novels and some hard apple cider would be cool too. And while I'm wishing for stuff, I'd also like a hoverboard and a TARDIS.

I have digital access to these already; these are just for rounding out and completing my physical collection.

I could go for not working three jobs and going to school full time anymore.
But I'll probably just get another speedball and a couple hits of meth.

I'd like the Luka Figma. See, that way I could say, "It was a gift from such-and-such," and then I could get away with it.

I really want one, though.

A job.

Actually, no. I'd like for employers to not reject me based on my age.
"More qualified person found", my ass!
I HAVE three year's experience, and what other qualifications do you need? It's a job in a supermarket, stocking the shelves! (Yes, this is the kind of jobs I'm now applying for. Anything else is simply not hiring.)

Other than that, nothing, really.
A Beta position in LittleBigPlanet 2, maybe.
Preferably the retail version for LBP2, but that's gonna have to go to the Dreams section on my wishlist.

It's not your age... At least not directly. They're looking for lifers that have no other alternatives, so that they don't fuck off in three months, forcing them to hire someone else.
You probably look to be young and full of prospects. You're a shitty candidate for menial labor.
It's actually a compliment if you think about it.

No.
I'm 24.

What you see running around that supermarket is nothing but 16 year old kids, with the occasional 20-something during the day, when there's not a lot of stocking going on.

I'm being discriminated against, but good luck trying to prove it.

I should have chosen my words better I think. Those 16 year olds are what they want, because they, like the "lifers" I spoke of earlier, still have no other prospects. They're lifers in the sense that if you lose one 16 year old, there's 10 others to choose from immediately to fill the gap. They're in high school, need a job, and are willing to work for minimum wage because they can't get anything else. Trust someone who worked in a grocery store during the "20-something phase"... I was the evening supervisor of said 16 year olds. They're a dime a dozen. You probably aren't and so they're not willing to take the chance that you're just in a holding pattern till your "dream job" comes up.

All I've asked from my family for Christmas is for a new hockey stick, some help with travelling in a year to two years time, and that they make a big donation to Right To Play and the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation.

I'm a big fan of R2P, and quite frankly if it weren't for the Alberta Children's Hospital I couldn't talk to my best friends today.
