The best gift today was a lightsaber casing for my Wii remote. I will use this for every game I need to swing the remote around like a sword. EVERY GAME.

I have to think about it a bit, because these days I get a lot of little presents scattered throughout the month.

I bought myself Bob Dylan's The Witmark Demos: The Bootleg Series Vol. 9 and MGMT's Oracular Spectacular, both of which are pretty awesome. Oh yeah, and I also picked up Arcade Fire's The Suburbs because I saw it cheap and said why the hell not? (It's not bad, actually.)

I got Robin Hood: Men In Tights and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (that's the good one, where Wonka doesn't have daddy issues) on DVD.

I also got the first season of Community just today. It's streets ahead.

I got a fifty-dollar gift card from my grandparents (although since it's an Amazon.com gift card, it's just as much from my mother as from them), and in the wee hours of Christmas Day I placed a nice huge order. I ordered copies of two books Bob Dylan wrote, Chronicles Vol. 1 (for $0.03!) and Tarantula; a copy of The Flaming Lips And Stardeath And White Dwarfs With Henry Rollins And Peaches Doing Dark Side Of The Moon (yes, that is its title); and cheap copies of Bob Dylan's Street Legal, New Morning, and Planet Waves.
