My dad got Super Freakonomics, as he loved the original.

My mum got a fancy lavender bath and skin combo thing, as she loves lavender and fancy bath things.

My brother got the most awesome toque thing.

My ladyfriend received both Gunnerkrigg Court books.

My friends received a complimentary fancy dinner.

And my bank account got a thank you note for lasting through to Christmas haha

Mike got a DS, Pokemon HeartGold, a T-shirt, a magic Deckbuilder's Toolkit.
Rachel got like $300 worth of toys total off a list she gave me.


That's just what I gave, mind you. They each got other awesome presents.

Yes I really gypped my parents. My girlfriend gave them superior presents. Also Poinsettas.

Gave my roomate a Darth Vader plush character and a set of chopsticks that look like Vader's lightsaber (she's a big Star Wars fan).

Gave Thadius a Portal shirt, some caffinated cocoa mix (double Dutch chocolate), and some caffinated brownie mix.

Sister and Family got the 6 Star Wars movies and a Book that is basicaly Twilight with Angels (what? She likes it. Also it's part of my plan to turn my nephew into a nerd by the age of 10.)

Mom and Dad got a shared gift from me and my brother, a brand new 7'' fully touchscreen dvd player for their car

and my bestfriend and his girlfriend got a 13 book series about the Christian Apocalypse ("left behind" if memory serves me right), so now they have "their thing in common" to talk about... i'm a modern cupid.

Wife got a DS, two games, a pair of work shoes and dress shoes, a Vanity, several sets of Sephora makeups and a bottle of Nina perfume

Sister got season 1 and 2 of Detective Conan and 40 bucks towards New Vegas

Grandmother got 50 dollar gift card to Red Lobster cause she loves it, and a card telling her if she tries to pay us back for any of the money we gave her for bills, I'll spend it all on her again.

Cousin got some Sephora makeup and a stuffed Donald Duck and Hair Ribbons for her baby.

Bought Minecraft for one of my friends, and I need to get some MSPoint cards or Arcade game cards for the others

I got my sister a Samurai Champloo CD (she likes Nujabes and Fat Jon music) and a pair of earbuds shaped like little rotund gas masks (they're weirdly adorable).

My brother bought a nice plasma HDTV over the summer, so I got him a brand new Blu-ray player to go with it.

He and I went halfsies on getting a Wii for my sister. And I brought over her GC and Wii games that had been at my place. (Poor dear's been without a console to game on for the better part of nine months!)

I got my dad seasons three and four of ALF, as we'd gotten him the first two years ago and never finished the set.

And for my mom, me and my siblings went out and got our picture taken and got her a couple of large prints. (She'd been asking for new pictures of us for a while.)

Bought my roommate season 2 of Big Bang Theory, since I got him season 1 for his birthday a few months ago.

Got season 2 of Dexter for my friend who lent me season 1 ages ago, as an apology for taking forever to get it back to him.

And for another friend I managed to nab the out-of-print Octopus Pie volume 3, as he didn't manage to get one during the original run.

And the best thing? I didn't pay full price for a single thing on that list! God bless seasonal discounts!

I got my brother-in-law's dad and mom a Wii. 35+ years of marriage, and they can finally have the chance to play with one.

My mother got a few sculptures of horses, a blanket, and assorted knick-knacks.

My brother-in-law's sister got a gold dragonfly necklace, a couple of books and a rather nice watch.

Brother-in-law got Dynasty Warriors 3 for the Wii, and a shaker for mixed drinks.

Sister got a set of silver angel candleholders.

My eldest niece got a bath set, a comforter, and a watch she was looking at a few weeks ago.

My youngest niece got a drawing pad, art supplies, and a Chinese watch to go along with her Chinese clothing.

My ex-roommate Rick got a basket of goodies, as did his girlfriend and his daughter.

And a round of stockings filled with various assorted edibles and toys for everyone.

I got my mother a Simon and Garfunkel two-disc compilation album. (She likes pretty-voiced singer-songwriters with acoustic guitars--Cat Stevens and Joni Mitchell are also on her list of favorites.) She also got a couple of nice shiny fake-diamond necklaces, which were sort of from both me and my father. (My mother and I both like cheap, shiny jewelry.)

I got my father a DVD recording of a Jimi Hendrix concert at Monterey. (He plays the guitar, and especially likes Jimi and Stevie Ray Vaughan.)

I got my mother a couple of calendars.

That's about it.

Pyros fixed a lamp for his maternal unit, advised said maternal unit on gifts so that all other family members got what they wanted, and mostly just came home for Christmas.

The only thing i may have ended up buying for anybody was a rawhide for my dog, Lilu Lejeune Ortiz.

It sucks to be the broke college student, as you end up coming home to people giving you stuff, and you can't give anything in return! Financially, anyway.

I was even going to buy my mom a cake for her day before christmas birthday, but she ended up finding out and said "Don't bother, I had an even better idea for cake, I'll pick it up on the way home." and Pyros was a sad panda!
