I have decided that I can no longer spare the time to be here, I have a few loose ends to tie up here in PM, but otherwise please contact me on facebook as fb/lars.bruheim if you want to keep in touch.
Thanks, take care.

Awh, that's a shame.
Goodbye, he-of-the-flaming-swordchucks. You made the world slightly, but apppreciably, more awesome. Take care.

Well, if you have things you need to do, you have things you need to do.
Good luck with them, and see you around, I suppose.

I didn't realize that posting here consumed loads of precious time that could be directed elsewhere. You must have a really shitty internet connection.

"Goodbye, Space Sword!" comes to mind. Not sure why.
Have fun mastering human anatomy and ridding crime on the streets of Vancouver.

Either that, or he recognizes just how easy it is to inadvertently dump an hour into web forums when he should be taking care of other things.
Anyway, see you around. I'll try to look up a fire show next time I'm in BC.

Hoping that all your endeavors remain excellent and self-fullfilling. I imagine I speak for us all when we invite you to come back any time. ^^
Hopefully I'll be able to see you next time I'm at one of those fire shows.

If this is a legit time management / impulse control thing you should consider asking the mods to ban your account.
If you're just politely saying that you're generally fed up with the forum then, sorry to hear that. I hope on balance it's been a positive experience for you and that you're able to find something that better fits what you're looking for in an online community. You brought a pretty unique presence to this forum and it'll be a shame to see you go.
Have a good one, good sir.

I thought only one member was so taken with the people here they had to literally get their account banned.
And then they made a new one anyway.

I find it amazing some people even bother to take the time to say goodbye, instead of just...y'know, not posting. And then they come back a year or two later, say "I'm back" and we all go...."Who are you again...oh, that's right. that guy. Didn't notice you'd left."

That's why you should crash the forums on the way out. Then people would remember you.

If I ever left without saying anything people would make a giant thread about it and then I'd have to give Mesden my account to tell you people to bug off because I don't wanna be hassled with that shit.
PREDICTIONS OF THE UNCANNY
No but really it's actually just as well for people to make threads that they're gonna go because honestly, it's a small enough forum that if you're a semi-frequent poster SOMEONE'S gonna notice that you are gone, at least enough to wonder in passing. Like I actually have thought, hey, Zilla used to write some fairly interesting posts, what happened to Zilla? If Zilla'd left a note, I wouldn't have needed to wonder!
Obv. if you are like terrible at posting and nobody likes you and you make a huge dumb deal of your quitting then probably everyone will laugh at you and whatever but if you're like Lev and have been generally a respectable (IF A BIT ODD) member of the forum and leave a short note saying you're not gonna be around anymore then I personally find that to be completely reasonable.
I guess he could Announcement Thread it but I mean personally I always forget to read the announcement thread so I never know anything about anything that anyone's posted in there so to anyone like me it's gonna be more informative for someone to just post a thread.
If he did it every week it'd get dumb but if you quit no more than once like every... year or two, then it's fine.
You didn't noticed I WAS GONE YOU DICK
