The Average Monday Thread of Fuck You I'm Awesome

Today is monday and there's absolutely nothing special or magical about it! So who else isn't letting some greeting card company boss them around? Me, I'm probably gonna hang out with one of my friends because today was his grandmother's funeral and most of his dad's side of the family are assholes, so he's gonna need some cheering up. We're gonna grab some food, play some card games, and do some general chilling out.

So, how are the rest of you guys spending your perfectly usual monday?

I was planning on reading the first book in The Dresden Files series since a friend got me that for a going away present and I still have no actual start date for my new job.

I was going to try and finish up one of my college assignments, but then I couldn't find the sheet telling me what to do on it anywhere, so I just said "fuck it" and played Mass Effect 2 all day. Then I sat down with a cup of hot chocolate and some chocolate fingers and watched Being Human because HOLY FUCK is this not the best fucking show ever??!! Seriously I'm like totally addicted to this like crazy it's unreal. I might even go back and just watch the first 2 seasons all over again because why the fuck not??

Spent half the day moving furniture and stripping and waxing the floors of a building I'm helping to renovate for the base. Probably going to spend the remainder dicking around on here. Started up Diablo 2 again on the mindset of trying to get myself in the mantra level repetitive RPG that doesn't let me choose the gender of certain classes and has a fairly annoying organization system and isn't really in 3D so I have to run it in a window just to make the colors work. I imagine it will make playing the next one that much better.

Woke up just before 1:00 PM. Ate toast. Went to the gym. Spent an hour on the phone with HP Support fixing sound problems on the computer. Was planning on going to the post office but it's raining like a mofo so I might put that off a day or two. Probably gonna make pasta, watch internet videos and draw mushy fanart. Fun times.

Half way through Storm Front, no reason to stop besides eating and that kinda stuff while I check out the forum. Hurray unemployment!

Did a bit of job hunting, right now am at a friend's place I haven't seen in a while helping him pick music for a mix CD for a prospective girlfriend that he's going to see again tomorrow. Alternating this with talking about MMOs, since he's back on WoW and I'm on Allods. Debating the shortcomings of Allods and the benefits of WoW versus the shortcomings of my time and money in comparison and my concerns over getting addicted to a game when I really can't afford to.

Basically, we've come to the conclusion that while I might really like WoW if I started in on it, I don't trust myself to not get hooked and I don't have the time to justify the cost, whereas despite Allods limiting your ability to grind over the course of a day by limiting the Fatigue you can gain to convert into EXP over time, I don't play enough during the course of a day for it to ever become an issue.
