So, I want you guys to know that I am so awesome that I have this (http://www.box.net/shared/6zp13xloyu)as my text tone.
Also, I thought it might be cool to see what everyone is using as their noise sound on their phone.
After we get done with that maybe we can all get together and make fun of the people who use an actual ring as their ring tone.
After we get done with that maybe we can all get together and make fun of the people who use an actual ring as their ring tone.
But... I use a regular ring as my ring tone (actually, I leave it on vibrate all of the time - ring tone's too noisy).
I'm pretty sure I heard somebody's text tone as Navi's "Hey! Listen!" today.

My ringtone is that stupid default phone crap but it's always on vibrate anyway.

Artificial ringing noises in a vain attempt at recapturing that lost part of my childhood. I wish I could make the buttons go "krkrkrkrkr click click click krkrkrk click click krkrkrkrkrkrkr click click click click" when I dial a number, but such is life.
Also, it's always on vibrate, much like many others.
And no one calls me anyway.

I don't have any particular ringtone for texts, although I like the idea of Navi's ''Hey!'' as one. I do however use the pokémon center song (from Red, Blue and Yellow) as a wake-up tune.

I'm going to try to make this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SB1272qyNw) my ringtone sometime soon.

I have the classic Doctor Who theme (Pertwee/Baker era, of course) as my default, and Bob Dylan's "Mr. Tambourine Man" set for my mother's number. I'm looking for a good text sound, actually--maybe a Dalek bellowing "EXTERMINATE", I dunno.
My current call ringer is the Cowboy Bebop theme song. It is amazing.

My current ringtone is the song "Relax" from the oft-under-appreciated Frankie Goes to Hollywood. My best friend has the custom ringtone of "Space Game," from MC Lars and my last girlfriend had the song "Symphony of Destruction" as a custom ringtone.
Actually, a couple days ago I was in class and my prof was discussing American intervention in South East Asia during the 1970's. He said the words, "Had they been given reasonable cause, they would have invaded any country, even Malaysia," and my phone went off as he said it. My class erupts into laughter as I hastily try to turn my phone off, and the poor 70 year old Prof just doesn't get it.

Notifications, like Calendar events, weather reports, and errors: MGS ! sound
Texts and IMs: Codec Call from MGS
Emails: the "Moonbeam" sound that comes with Droid phones (or at least Motorola Droids) -- used to be the Zelda item sound; need a replacement
Ringtone: "God Knows" (though of course it won't ever make it through the whole song -- does the entire intro, ending [if I don't pick it up] right at the transition before Haruhi/Aya starts singing)
I used to use the flute solo from "Sacred Power of Raging Winds" by Rhapsody. Any of you who has watched the AMV Hell series would probably know it from the Osaka flute scene.
If I didn't like "God Knows" so damn much I would properly loop the codec call sound so that, if you didn't answer, it would end with the closing fadeout sound. I would need a replacement MGS sound for IMs or notifications, though, to shift things around.
I may return to my dropped project of using GLaDOS and turret clips for all of my phone's sound-making efforts.

Yeah, I don't even have Desperate Struggle. I really need to, but I don't even know if my Wii still works after the cat chewed on the cord to the sensor bar, and I have no money.

Ringtone is "Burn it to the ground" from Nickelback. It makes me answer my phone faster to cover my shame. [by which I mean I fucking love Nickelback.]

On my old phone, my ring tone and SMS sound were the sound associated with Vergil in Halo: ODST. I just liked the character. Had to sort of hack in the SMS sound, too. On my LG VU or whatever it was.
Viridis just hooked me on Awkward Zombie. Dammit.MY WORK HERE IS DONE.

The sensor bar is just an IR source. Get a couple candles and place them a bit apart from each other, it actually works better than the bar.

It's classy to light candles when you play with your wii. Atmosphere, you know.

Uh, they do if they have a broken 'sensor bar'?

Just to add my 2 cents, if anybody is geek enough to know about the Candles, they are geek enough to build their own Sensor bar with the proper leds. It's that simple!

Text: GOB's "Come On!"
Family Ringtone: Kanye West - Lost in the World
Guy Ringtone: Sleigh Bells - A/B Machines
Girl Ringtone: Royksopp - It's What I Want
GF Ringtone: Broken Social Scene - Anthems for a Seventeen-Year Old Girl
I Don't Know You Ringtone: Oh No Oh My - Reeks and Seeks
I vaguely remember assigning reasons for all of these, but the only one I can clearly remember now is thinking that an incredibly obtuse way of calling all guys 'tools' was funny?

Today I encountered a gentleman whose phone barked with every key stroke.
The novelty was short-lived, to say the least.

I could probably just fix (or replace) the wires if they ARE broken, but that doesn't fix the fact that I don't really have money for NMH.
Or that it'd probably void the warranty. That I think is still in effect.

My text signal goes "beep." I don't even know what my ring sounds like, but I promise it came with the phone.
Basically I like to keep my phone basic. I recently downgraded to one with a screen that can display exactly 15x3 letters and has no functions beyond phone, text messages and a calculator/calendar. It's the best.

It's a tiny snippet from what I assume is the chorus. I use it because it sounds good.
