Why hasn't anyone crossed elves with dwarfs? Or a dwarelf with an orcre? Which would make the offspring quarter dwarf, quarter elf, quarter, orc, quarter ogre.

Of course I don't know whether any of these races are already half somethings.

There should totally be half-elf half-dwarves.

They could have like LESS facial hair than a dwarf but not the total absence you get with elves... the pointed ears being rounded off a bit... Some capacity for grace but also stockiness and physical strength... Some affinity for forests and nature but also able to work in the close conditions of an artificial environment such as a mine or large stone hall... neither especially reduced nor increased height...

I think it has something to do with humans being genetically compatible with most of the usual suspects for half-breeds.

Elves and orcs aren't compatible, for instance.

It's something I've read long ago, and it may be completely wrong, since I'm not a DnD'er.

Though: get an half-elf. Breed it with an elf, so you get a 3/4-elf.
Breed that with an orc, which is possible due to the human gene still being present (if somewhat diluted), and you would probably end up with a elf-orc cross-breed. (with some diluted human thrown in.)

This is completely pulled from my ass, but the theory is sound enough, considering dragons can cross-breed with humans. Dragons.

It would make sense for some of them to be a bit glamorous and magnetic, the way elves often are... Yet at the same time ameliorate that, because they're half dwarven - but not QUITE as gruff and rough-hewn as dwarves might be depicted...

OH I forgot magic, because you have Elves which tend to be preternaturally good at it... but then Dwarves tend to have little if any affinity for it... so you'd end up somewhere between those two...
