Let's talk about other's post signatures!
Make a comment about someone's current signature, if you can't think of someone then pick the person above you.
Maybe it was a link to something cool? Maybe it made you laugh?:D Maybe it was a quote of Blues being an insufferable ass?:ohdear: Who knows! :raise:
The first signature that comes to my mind belongs to Krylo, who has had a link to a slightly disturbing magical girl story forever. However, after I read that I found the same author wrote a story called Unreal Estate that was just amusing enough to make me read the whole thing through. Slightly absurd though, in a fun Mary Sue kind of way.
Your sig is from an English class in another country, I don't know what it's supposed to mean, and then it links to a flying panty song...
Exactly what am I supposed to say? This is surreal and terrifying and beautiful.
Doc ock rokc

Your sig is shameless self promotion and nationalism.
CelesJessa
03-21-2011, 08:34 PM
Noncon's is a link to his website which is pretty cool and impressive on how much it's grown, and had me draw for them once upon a time, which was pretty cool.
EDIT: Ninja'd!
Ock's is pretty nifty. I like the uses of grays and the running out of ink made me laugh.

I.... I don't know? Something about Metal Gear and Homestuck?
Shyria Dracnoir

All I can to Viridis' sig is "Word, dawg."
Thadius
03-21-2011, 10:11 PM
All I can think of when I look at Shyria's sig is those commercials for Discovery channel.

Jagos' sig is "the" Remix Manifesto. While I am not all that familiar with it, I am somewhat familiar with similar things, or things that deal with similar subjects. Such as copyleft, hacker ethic etc.

On the other hand, Hawk, I've seen more of your sig than I have your posts.
Now I'd say I like synk's sig (and I totally do!), but I remember somebody lambasting everyone (http://nuklearforums.com/showpost.php?p=943521&postcount=88) for not being good at sig art in the original sigimg thread. Not all of us went to design school, you know. (although I did, so there's really no excuse on my part except laziness)

It's too bad that those images aren't still up. I bet they deserved it.
ALSO I used to change mine [though not here as we didn't allow them for quite a long time] fairly regularly. I even had a set of ~8-10 that I used with a random script for a little while, at least on boards that allowed it. Then I made the one I am using and continue to like it too much. I also lost the .psd source file somehow.
I should probably make a new one, but I don't know if I'll like it as much. Hmmm...
OK way too much about myself in this post.
I'm fond of minimal sigs, at least in the sense that a lot of quote blocks seems messy to me (as I realize mine has grown more than it probably should have).
IQ's invisible sig is clever.
I pretty much dig the blue color and small text in Blue's; I believe he changes the content enough though that I've no opinion of that one way or the other. The small font size and simple links to his other places are things I personally like in sigs.
Part of me really likes seeing Krylo's posts thanks to the great choice of Vriska image currently, and then part of me is a little upset of the "u mad?".
NonCon's GPD image is simple. No shameless cajoling to visit, no ill-conceived tagline -- just a clean and sharp logo. I like that.
I miss Bob's crazy rainbow sparkle whatever the fuck thing. So ridiculous.
phil_'s is also nice and tidy and classy.
Whomper's, being red, is of course high on the list. Oh, my, does that happen to be me in that sig? Ah, that's just coincidence, I am sure.
I'll admit that if you have a lot of quote blocks or have enough text to put it behind a swap tag I don't read it.

I like Russian Reversal's, except that it's got a tiny bit of artification in the upper left corner of the blended image, which makes it look sort of messy.
Fifthfiend
03-22-2011, 07:11 AM
Fifthfiend's sig is a 1980s businesswoman in huge shoulder pads bicycle-kicking during sex because she missed her spinning class.

03-22-2011, 07:26 AM
Why though.
Oster's signature really doesn't truly encompass what it means to be Blues.

Aldurin
03-22-2011, 01:00 PM
I wish sig character limit's were bigger, and that file size and formats allowed for sig images was at least the same as with avatars.
Lost in Time's sig needs to be his tag.
Ravashak
03-22-2011, 01:51 PM
I disagree with you, Aldurin, I like that the sigs sizes here are kept in moderation. Your sig fits that quite well xP
russianreversal
03-22-2011, 02:03 PM
Not sig size, file size. Currently you can have a max avatar size of 100kb, but a max sigimg size of only 19.5, despite that the max dimensions of your sigimg can be larger than your avatar.
I kind of agree with Aldurin here on account of the fact that far less people that make accounts have sigimgs than avatars (or even profile pictures, I mean what?), but I can see that making that larger is just baiting people to try and get around/bitch about the no (animated) gifs rule.
And goddammit I can see the other flaws with my sig on this much better lit screen. Ah well, I'll fix it tomorrow.
EDIT: In regards to Ravashak's sig, Google translate was not much help, as I get the feeling this is supposed to flow a certain way in Finnish.

These are mainly the words of Lawrence Lessig:

But nah y'alls I like MLP and Pinkie Pie a lot but I'm really not quite as obsessed over it as you seem to think I am? Half the fun in writing my crazy responses now in just playing the role of fanboy and ticking those of you off who "hate teh ponies", and really, it's moreso that I appreciate a well-written show with charming characters and an optimistic escapist kind of theme that plays awfully well when you're exhausted from excessive law school reading and all you want to do is find something to watch that isn't dark or complicated and that will make you smile.

Interestingly rpgdemon's signature solicits criticism and which is then thoroughly rebuffed. I believe this is the sign of a true artist. At the very least it's nice to see one that doesn't collapse into a semi-solid quivering mass when someone doesn't immediately like their work.

What designs? The shitty black text on green on green or the MS Paint signature "image"?
Oh no wait having javascript off hid your menu. That's not really the best site layout choice but hey at least I can see the images now. Nice work on all the watermarks on your clip art.

WAAAAAAAH.
Actually, I don't really see why people don't like being criticized. I dunno if it's just that I'm weird, or what, but I'm not really phased by it, and actually rather enjoy having any sort of feedback on anything, especially negative. It helps when the things being feedback'd are things that I've been doing just because the idea amuses me more than I care about the actual outcome, I suppose.
In any case, I have a totally (il)legitimate reason for all of the problems with the site. You see, I am entirely a lazy bitch. I had nothing with which to test php on my laptop, and thus said screw it, javascript shall be used to make things updatable cross page more easily instead. And I'm pretty sure the lime green is there because when I was getting the divs set up, I was using pretty much random key mashings for background colors, so that I could see them, and again am a lazy bitch and didn't bother getting rid of it, because, "HEY THERE'S REALLY NO REASON THIS SHOULD BE A PROBLEM".
WAY TOO MUCH JUSTIFICATION AHOY. In all seriousness though, feel free to criticize anything and everything that I say/do, in general, if you've got legitimate reason behind it. Heck, if you've got legitimate reason behind it, I'll probably end up agreeing with you in the end. :P

Rip on my shitty image mother fuckers!
Seriously, every bizarre choice has kind of a meaning*. Well most of them. But I'm not gonna provide the context to make it seem like I'm just bullshitting.
*Except the jpeg artifacts. That's just the forums converting my gif into a jpg.

Sorry, but I changed it again. I'll tell you something, though. That crappy image was one of many versions and it was the crappiest.

I see a field of dark grey, lit up by words in bright colors. Post after post, and after every one of them the quote, the one quote that sums up all the absurdities of war, the condition in which man gives in himself permission to do the worst he can to his brother, the calculating commercial psychopathy that wants to give a clean, marketable image to this, this pure inhumanity, the bitter irony, the absurdity of it. This is my dream. This is my nightmare. To see this quote crawling, spreading like rot all over the world until the corporate war profiteering machine can't stand the weight of its own lies anymore.
