So, i hope you guys don't mind helping me out with this... just give me your two cents. So as a gift for helping her out my mom decided that i could pick some model kits for myself, i really like these. They are like huge 3d Puzzles that i can sink 4-5 hours into each easily.

Thing is... i can't really seem to be able to pick. It would be a while until i manage to be able to buy these again on my own, and it's not like i have a huge collection anyway, so i'm looking for stuff that seems fun to build and looks cool on my shelf.

I have a few candidates down, i wish y'all could weight in... depending on the model i may be able to pick 1 or maybe 2 of these...

So, the first one

This is the non-transformable version. It comes with the Beam Magnum and the Shield. It's Huge, it looks awesome. But i don't know if i should hold out until future releases with more features since the Gundam Unicorn OVA's are pretty new...

Next up

Now, this is not a "Fantastic" model itself... it looks good, but it's God Gundam y'know.. i just feel like it should be in my Shelf eventually...

The next one is...

Now, you see... the thing about this one is that... it looks really cool. I'm a sucker for all those ClLear Blue pieces. It's an exclusive item from the Gundam Extreme Vs Arcade game. What makes me take a step back from it is this...

The next one is a good contestant... expensive though

Aside from being plain Badass, this kit has so many accessories that the unit can't actually hold them all, and they all look SO awesome! But it's an expensive kit though

On the other side of the spectrum, this is one of the Cheapest ones in the list

It does not transform, it comes with a Bazooka and the Beam Saber. It's not AS badass as Destroy mode, but it's a great kit if a ever want to try a Custom Paintjob

Also there are a few on the Lower end of the Pool. these grunt units that cost between $6 to $10 a pop, which means i could pick a couple of these

So, any feedback might actually help me making a decision over these, just let me know what you guys think it would look really cool or seems like fun to put together from hundreds or tiny plastic parts

I think I saw the very last one in the flesh one time. Or a really good bootleg copy. Weird.

Anyway the expensive one is clearly the most badass and seems to have the most moving parts, which is cool. I'd say go for it.

You know, I hear the Transformers in the new movies are physically sound constructs with 10 000-100 000 moving parts. (Not including any explanation for how they actually move those parts.) Why haven't they been made in material form yet? Even if they had to be as big as a person and made of metal to support their own weight, I think I'd have to buy one.

Gundam Unicorn Destroyer Mode, is the best choice out of the ones you listed. It's just too awesome to not be the first one bought.

Second only to the Sinanju of course.

I know you're a Gundam nut, but if it were up to me, I'd get this. (http://www.hlj.com/product/KBYVI-061)

That said, I'd probably second the Unicorn Destroyer mode. Secondary choice being the Sinanju and tertiary being the one with the guitar-gun.

Because it's a guitar-gun.

It does look cool, but too expensive for a 6 Inches tall model. One of the main reasons i collect those Gunpla is because they are actually cheaper than most Model Kits, where a decent Macross or Armored core kit will run me 40-80 bucks, i can pick up a Gundam kit for as low as $10-20 and still have a decent kit.

Plus, talking about expensive kits, the 1/144 Dendrobium Orchis (http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN907985) is still the best Money Waster and it's 40inches wide when built. But will take a good $500 out of your pocket...

Sinanju is by far the best out of those.

I've never really been a big Gundam fan (mostly because I never knew where to get started), but for some reason, the design of the Zaku always strikes me as badass in its simplicity. So I guess I'd go for the Hi-Zaku and the Hazel TR1.

it's one of the units i would like to have when i get back to work. It's not as expensive as one might think (on the 1/144 scale at least...) but it's certainly not cheap.

I started with Gundam Wing, it's old, but it might work for ya. But since most of the series aren't really connected, you can started with whatever you want. i WOULD suggest not going with Seed. 00 Gundam is a decent enough start. Or you can just start with Gundam Unicorn.

The main difference is just that Uniorn deals in the UC timeline (universal century) that is related to the earlier shows. So it's more Sci-Fi and thins are pointed to a more Realistic view. Wing does that too, but it's in it's own Time Line, same for Turn A Gundam and Gundam X.

Series like Seed and 00 have their own timeline but they are more towards a "Super Robot" mentality, it's a bit more Fantasy. Same goes for G Gundam that is Extreme Fantasy.

Thing is, Both 00 and Seed also exist in a "Special Version" that is a compiled Movie form of the entire show, so you can catch the Abridged version instead of rolling Through 50 episodes.

You can't go wrong with God (Burning) Gundam.
