Yeah for bigger avatars you need to collect Reputation (these green gems below your post count) the More gems = Bigger avatars. Just look at Fenris up in this page...

To get Reputation you need to make interesting threads and posts, so it's kinda of a reward system really

I thought it was 100 x 100 for everybody except admins (and possibly mods) to save memory while allowing Fenris to say "fuck you, my avatar is bigger".

For what it's worth: Most are 100x100; yours is 100x69.

Probably because your image isn't a 1:1 aspect ratio, and the forum won't automatically resize the errant dimension because that would be dumb.

How did you make it or crop it? If you're not making your avatar the size you want on your own, yeah the forum will just scale it at whatever ratio the image uploaded is until it is at or below the max dimensions. If you are cropping an image and such in an editor on your own, then make sure it's 1:1 ratio or 100x100 pixels.
