Lately, I've realized something about myself, and I figured I should get it off my chest.

Well no, that's not exactly true. Deep down, I've always known. But I've never really faced it; never accepted what I knew in my heart.

I really don't know why I never had this epiphany sooner. I mean, god knows it was obvious; everyone around me seemed to figure it out pretty quickly. I'm sure you've all realized it as well. But I figure it would be for the best to formally announce it.

Oh but it is. Most people are inherently good at something. And the concept of awesome varies from person to person so much that the closest you can get is maybe the norm which changes over time.

I'm awesome too. I still remember when I came out with it, by now I treat being awesome like it's nothing. Because that's just what it is, nothing. No big deal, for me at least. To a degree that most people are shocked to find out I'm awesome. Often I just casually say things that hint towards my awesomeness and people are suddenly confused. But I think our society should finally move beyond the point where awesome people have to be seen as some kind of curious novelty or even a disease that must be fought. I mean, the ancient greek could do it, why shouldn't we?

I think everyone is awesome to a degree. I know a lot of people are not comfortable with that, but it's only natural to be awesome and it's not a bad thing, really. In fact I found it both enriched my life, as well as that of those around me. And no one says you have to go full blown awesome. It's okay to be just a little awesome. This thread is full of people who just might be awesome.

So, Token, welcome to the club.
