I mean, the math is all done already
http://judgementday2011.com/
already googled for ya (http://www.google.com.br/#hl=en&source=hp&biw=1280&bih=961&q=may+21+2011&oq=may+21+2011&aq=f&aqi=g6g-v4&aql=&gs_sm=e&gs_upl=1938l4082l0l11l9l0l0l0l0l424l1189l3-1.2&fp=517535e9a39a22de)
Also, i don't know is Jesus still posts in the forum or if he is just lurking (maybe he is packing his stuff, making travel plans?) but would be nice to get some first hand confirmation.
So, i dunno, world is ending. It's pure hard fact... kinda sad it's so soon though, i mean... may 21st? Was Jesus just waiting for Cinco de Mayo hangover to pass and then started making his reservations?!
I'm pretty sure there are a bunch of people you would like to shout some truths at, and hey, most of you here are smart enough to evade the cops for 2 weeks... so this might be the time so settle some scores, y'know?
I mean, let's face if... it's not like we're meeting "up there" anyways...

Yeah, I saw an article about this in the local paper earlier today. Apparently they're advertising the event on billboards across the country. For some reason the train and bus lines allowed it on their vehicles as well, which got pulled after it understandably left a bunch of people rather unamused. Not that people aren't having their fun with it. (http://www.wecantknow.com/)

Ah, man, it's just a humorous website. I was kinda looking forward to making fun of it.
EDIT: Is there a real website for the real guy, or...? I mean the one Bells linked was a joke website making fun of the other real one?

I'm really wondering if this guy is just doing it for the momentary high of national media attention, or he actually thinks he made a mathematical error twice already in trying to decipher the date of the end of the world.
But even better, here's a conundrum. The Bible says no one knows the exact date. This man says he figured it out using the Bible. If the date he is guessing turns out to be true, then the Bible is wrong in regards to no one knowing the date. But, if the Bible is wrong about no one knowing the date, then the Bible can't be inspired, and thus the man wouldn't be able to get the true date of the last day from it anyway because if the Bible is false then there would be no last day. Or it would be some other religion's last day.

Revelation actually makes absolutely no sense. Specifically the whole war on earth thing since.
1) Jesus was a total pacifist that preached non-violence to the point you should forgive someone for punching you in the face. Not exactly the guy to lead heavens forces in a war.
2) why would there be a war when God can just blink all his enemies from reality?

It's funny that one sign of the end of the world is homosexuality when that's been around since even before Jesus was relevant.

That's why those of us in the know realize that St. John the Divine was actually making a thinly veiled metaphorical reference to the Obama presidency. Duh.

Religious topics: Don't feel obliged to avoid mentioning religions entirely but don't even get close to any type of "religion a is better/worse than religion b" or "religion/lack of religion sucks" type of argument.
This thread is a bad idea. It's not explicitly against the rules itself but it has inevitably headed into that nebulous grey area we don't want to get into.
Interesting thing though.
