Haha wow literally just learned about this guy in my Social Psych class. It's just Cognitive Dissonance Theory where people have already put so much time/effort into believing in the Cult that they don't want to realize that it was all just a fraud. They're trying to avoid that dissonance (feeling of discomfort caused by performing an action that is inconsistent with one's beliefs/attitudes).

As resident forum pagan deity feline of a less than sane demeanor, I would just like to step in amongst yawweh and his spawn, and Fenris, to state that as odds go, if and when the world does end, you'll likely greet the end doing exactly what you're doing right now.
Which is reading a post on a forum talking about the world ending.
That said, the world will only end when and if I decide you keyboard slapping monkeys are no longer capable of setting things on fire and/or being flammable.
....You'd think Yaw-way's (eat fresh) computer files would all be "His Files" and just infer that everyone else's data was the shared file.
