Merry Christmas Nuklear Power Forums. I really do mean that - no jokes about Candle Ja... , Yodadog, EdxRoy, or whatever. Really, Merry Christmas.

I could go on a big "What Is Christmas" trip, talking like I was drunk on spiked spiced nog, but I hate egg nog so that's not an option. I will say that Christmas (no matter whether you're catholic or not) is supposed to be a feel good, sacharine time of the year when we actively try to do good and love one another for just... being. Which I think is kinda cool.

Also there's totally snow ball fights, which is rad.

There's time for spiked hot chocolate, spiked cider, and spiked beer. Family and friends. Good food. Gifts. Mirth. Merriment. And while I don't know everything (I don't know most things) I have heard that some of us are down and out for the holiday season. I've not much to offer save my prayers and hopes, kind words or a shoulder to cry on... Sometimes, though, some people need something more material.

So here's the thing: my Christmas wish. I want to ask something of you guyses: (and you girlses) do something good for someone.

I want you to buy an extra toy and slip in in a donation bin. I want you to give to one of those people ringing that there bell on the street corner. I want you to give a horsie ride to your niece or nephew. I want you to buy a homeless dude a sandwich. I want you to give a hot chocolate to a valet who's stuck in the cold. I want you to phone a grandmother and ask them what's going on. I want you to help an elderly lady across the street.

I want you to do a lot. It's unfair of me, isn't it? I'm not asking you to do it all. I'm just hoping you'll do something. Even if it's for someone on the forum. Someone you know is hurting for whatever reason. Be that shoulder to cry on, pass out a little bit so that someone can get a lot.

Also, you could post your good deed here, if you'd like, so that I could get a smile in afore me birthday.

Christmas is a big deal for Protestants as well. I have done some good things, I put up our Christmas tree and cleaned up the house which made my mom feel good. I know their will be other good things that I do coming up soon.

Not the sweet protestants. And by sweet protestants I mean Oliver Cromwell, Lord Massive Brain

What does it take to turn you people into good people?

Liquor. Liquor and rep, prolly.

You need to somehow turn it into inflicting suffering. Like, I enjoy wishing people 'Happy holidays!' to watch them wildly overreact to someone not saying Merry Christmas.

Pyros believes the only Pyrosmas is a Pyrosmas with a Yule log. And a Yule firecracker. And a Yule "whatever's flammable". And that you totally wire your christmas tree lights in a manner that violates the warning signs on the packaging. And that you leave the stockings over the fireplace while the fireplace is burning. And you leave the fireplace on, unattended, all through the night! That's how St. Pyros gets in to give all the good boys and girls matches and lighters!.

I wish you all a warm and toasty holiday season, and may you all receive the gift of warmth and cheer!

Also, last but not least anyone under five years old should get a cardboard box and anyone above five years should get a Slinky (the metal kind, the plastic ones can scratch), because let's face it, your relatives and in-laws will spoil them far beyond all that is necessary.

Yeah, Cromwell was horrible, but he is not representative of nearly all protestants, especially today. I gave some money to the children's miracle network while at the cashier at the grocery store. Some more good done by me

Our family donated to the Heifer project this year: our monetary donation bought a goat and a flock of ducks and geese, along with training, for families in third world countries.

My good deed will be working on Christmas so someone who actually celebrates the holiday can be with their family.

Happy Channukah!

Dude, Christmas starts on, like, the 24th here. You can't just go around and start before that. This is why I hate christmas. It's like a premature ejaculation that lasts months and the guy who has it is a moaner so we have fucking noise everyhwere.

Jingle Bells my ass.

And Last Christmas can Fuck off too. Especially Last Christmas.

E: I might be more... "jolly" in a few days when christmas actually started in my region.

guh still haven't found a present good enough for my Dad and stepmom...It would be so much easier to just buy for my Dad (as the step mom gets TONS of gifts from her family and doesn't really mind a broke collage student not giving her a gift) and i need to pick up my brother's and sister's gift...

I don't ask for.anything, too broke to buy anything, too big a loser to bother drawing anything special, and I don't expect to get anything.

Some how, my friends. and family seem to be okay with that.

Personally I only buy gifts If I find something half-special. I'm not buying them for the sake of buying them because I want them to have meaning. Though, I'm a little sad I only found a gift for one person this year, and made a contribution to a gift for two other people. Even though I did try harder to find something for people like... my parents or whatever.

For person 1 I found a picture book called "Good night, my [her name]-darling" and... modified it by pasting over the original text with even sicker rhymes. She's an insomniac, so I made it fit her condition a little more than the original story about a girl who doesn't want to sleep. It's more humorous than the original "cute" story. But I made it so it can be read my way and the original way.

For persons 2+3
I shot some pictures which will be used in a calendar or something, I don't even know yet.

As for me, I'd be happy with nothing. Mostly I get money. But I don't really care.

It will be light for me giving and getting presents this year. I will be bringing in cookies for my co-workers on christmas eve.
