There's not much to say here other than that eggnog is the best drinkable substance around. I would seriously have eggnog in my fridge all year round if they sold it in stores, but unfortunately we're limited to only a month and a half of nog.

Actually the sole benefit of Christmas slowly consuming the month of November is that we get eggnog sooner.

quickedit- Actually, as someone who has only tasted pure nog, and who also enjoys to partake in alcohol, what kinds of alcohol do you all recommend I mix with my nog? General types of alcohol are acceptable, but your preferred brand names would also be great.

I usually just drink it with ice. Although on special occasions, I'll put Baileys in it as well. Very rich flavor.

Egg nog is a great drink and I'm glad it isn't available year round because I wouldn't make it past three years before diabetes took me.

That being said, I am a bit peeved. My local grocery stores used to offer two brands, a full-on EGG NOG variety with whatever sugary poison goodness egg nog traditionally has, and a "diet" egg nog with something like 40% less fat and sugar.

Why am I peeved? I couldn't taste the difference! So I always took the diet one because, well, why not? I can drink way more of this delicious holiday toxin before suffering the same negative effects! Alas, since 2010, I cannot find it. I am going to drown my sorrow in full-powered, high-octane egg nog.

The store I work at, Publix, makes egg nogg that is better than the national brands! If any of you are ever in Forida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, or Alabama you should check it out. You won't be sorry.
