View Full Version : Why are you allowed to tell someone they suck?

No seriously, it's mean and wrong and hurts feelings. And every feeling that is hurt is another thousand dollars that a politician steals from orphans.

Why can't we just be nice and smoke weed or something else that's peaceful?

It is only via those that allow the hurting, that hugs are allowed to be and become what they are...

for each that wrongs you with words, there is a bro within range to tell you that it is all going to be a'ight.

So it is, so it should be. The word has been spoken, thus it shall be so.

Criticism leads to one's improvement on said manners if they take it to heart.

Meister's drawing in that thread could certainly be useful for making a topic go off-topic for a spell.

Because you are better than them. And if you don't point that out then how will they know they are inferior?

You can't build up one's confidence without first shattering it.

Positive reinforcement only leads to communism.

You all are allowed to say something sucks because that privilege was forcibly removed from me.

I'm only allowed to bust out the e-hatred of something I hate when everyone else likes it.

There's a Nowegian saying that goes "honesty without love is cruelty, love without honesty is sentimentality". If you love someone and care about their feelings you are permitted to be honest. You can probably go through the effort to be nice about it even if you don't, but I don't recommend it.

Also, truth should be told. That's an entirely universal idiom.
