I'm spending the weekend working again while holding on to my few remaining vestiges of sanity. In fact now's a good time to say, if I completely lose my shit on you for whatever reason between now and the 12th, it is probably no more than like 10% actually personal and 90% me having well and truly lost my goddamn mind (after that it's totally personal).

Really starting to look forward to the week immediately after all this shit when I'm just going to take the week off and lazyass as hard as I can. (I MIGHT JUST get the fucking bukkit server going again, WHO KNOWS)

It'd be way more bullshit except the other two people on the proposal team are both working hecks harder than I am on this.

It's stupid that we don't have a bigger team + support staff for a job like this and it actually is kind of a consequence of us actually being pretty good at doing these things as a team so the people above us think they can get away with nickeldiming the resources we have.

THAT SAID it actually works out for me because the shorthandedness leads to me getting experience outside my usual range of stuff due to sheer desperation (stuff like interfacing directly with subconsultants, which is great because then like oh hey look there's a bunch of people who do roughly the same kind of work I do for other companies who now know my name, and like writing, which is, you know, words are pretty important in these things) and like, I figure I can JUST ABOUT keep the sanity barely pieced together until the 12th but I figure I owed everyone maybe a heads-up just in case.

Plus losing your mind is kind of interesting and like I'm trying to have a good time with it so you know, silver linings.

I just finished a busy period at work. Ordinarily, this would be cause for jubilation, however, this time around I'm scheduled to work two important days in a row... My brother's birthday, and literally the next day, my girlfriend's birthday. Gas prices are officially through the roof nows and I want to scream at how inadequate my job is for giving me shitty hours for the next two weeks.

Its getting to be crunch time at my community college. Mo' homework with less time, and me still working a full time job. Well actually the clothing factory I'm employed at has just cut everyone down to 4 days a week, a co-worker saying this is the worst its been in the 7 years he's worked there.

As much as I'm okay with not having a car 99% of the time, the one percent of the time where it's time to go grocery shopping again makes it all hell. It's like three miles to Safeway and back and I have to lug these stupid groceries around and UGH.
