We are now inhabiting the barren shell of what used to be a great forum, scavenging for supplies and rep-away.

In which case - things have changed quite a bit. While I couldn't give you a list of mods (there've been a few changes), mostly the various subforums were reorganized for space and memory reasons, and to help stabilize the server (if I recall correctly). Several people/members have had their names changed (check out the relevant thread for that). A number of people were banned forever. Sometimes more than once. Some of them are back now. Some are definitively not.

I had a baby. And I still never got to play in a Smarty McBarrelpants D&D game, bother it all!

Some of us like the option of having a conversation without having to actually take part in a conversation. I can make a post on the forums & post again several days later.

If I come off as a shy & inarticulate dweeb, that is a marked improvement over what I'm like in real time. Trust me, I'm doing the universe a favor by pretending the chat room doesn't exist.


While I'm sure no one is nearly as bad as me, I'm sure others prefer the passive conversations the forum can provide. Chat? That's almost as bad as trying to have a real conversation.

Based off of what lil bit psychology I took in college, its a part of self-hatred.

They feel that people don't accept them because they're terrible in some way. Even when it's not true and just all in their head. Depending on the person, they usually don't mean it once they've calmed down.

I majored in Politics & minored in Philosophy. I learned how to barely follow what's going on in the news. But I hate the news, so this isn't an ideal skill.

From philosophy, I learned that the study of Metaphysics is really, really stupid. And you should *NEVER* put off your 300 level philosophy course until your Senior year, or you might be forced to take it.

This is a horrible scenario, and you would do your best to avoid it.
