I guess 2012 IS the end. Now there's no one to usher in the new year.
Dropping my obnoxious posting color as a measure of respect.
RIP Mr. Clark, and thank you for welcoming each new year for as long as you have.

Dude was old. That's what old people do. They die.
But seriously RIP.

But not everyone's a legend in entertainment like him.

RIP. 82 huh? I knew he was old, but in that picture he looks pretty good for 82.
But I just hope it's a coincidence the banner states that NPF is where dick jokes go to die.
I mean, I doubt Clark was even a member.

That he stuck with the New Year's program despite what happened to him was pretty rad. He was quite the icon, for sure. Three [virtual] cheers for Dick Clark.

Dick Clark's death is like a cultural milestone for us. I thought that he would never die, he was a goddamn Highlander. Now we gotta face our own mortality as a society...
Plus side, Ryan Seacrest now has more to do on New Year's.
Who?
I heard about this when it came over the wire at work, and this was basically my response. Then I had to arrange the page for it as punishment for not knowing who he was. :I

If it makes you feel better, I also had to look him up. Still unfamiliar with the programs he did.

My own folks were surprised to hear he kicked it. Welp, I guess 2012 is the end times with good old Dick gone. Seacrest doesn't count and never will... those shoes are too big to fill. He was THE face of New Years.

Yeah, and let's face it, if you listen to rock of any kind, you have him to thank for popularizing it.

I didn't know he was that young actually. I had thought he was in his young 90's, and with that I was really impressed with how he looked. I forgot that he had a stroke a few years ago and that's what really slowed him down. RIP Dick.
