Seriously, don't be a dick. She gave birth to you, god dammit.

I've already called you and gave her a gift, jerk. Why didn't you do so earlier? :aaa:

I had lunch with mine and gave her a gift.
Aside from the latter, that's not all that different from a normal day.

Why didn't you do so earlier?
Time zone differences + wanting to call right after she opened the gift I got her (workout headband with built in headphones). Then I figured if someone as on the ball as I had waited this long, you nerds would probably be putting it off even longer and breaking your sweet mother's poor heart.

I'm having a curry tonight in remembrance of mine. Least I can do.

Visited my mother's grave. Left a card and some flowers.

I got mine a card and called my other grandmother.
...What? I'm dirt poor okay. I can't afford gifts.

I thought it was mother's day yesterday. So I did nothing special with my mom yesterday instead of today.

My sister and I surprised my mom at her office on Friday with flowers and took her to lunch. Then yesterday we took her to see a movie because my sister had school stuff to do today and didn't have time to do anything on Mother's Day proper.

Every day of the year I give my mother the greatest gift that I as a child can give: Not needing her.
Also in my daily life it really doesn't matter that time passes. I don't have a compelling reason to remember at all times that there is such a thing as discrete months of the year. I have not had a single scheduled appointment with a person to keep since early March, and the last one before that was in January. I have had for the last two weeks only the tiniest notion of the month of May. I realized just now I missed my laundry time by five days. And, this is the key part, my family knows this about me. My mom calls me to tell me it's mother's day if she wants my congratulations.
Which I guess this year she doesn't.
I don't claim to understand her. :I

A local comedy club is letting mothers in for free this weekend with the warning that they may ask her to tell embarassing stories to prove that it's her.
I may regret this decision in a few hours.

My great-grandmother just died. My grandmother and my mother are both currently dealing with that.
I'm doing the chores they told me to do.

Considering I live with my mom, calling isn't exactly necessary.
Also, she was spending the day with my little sister at Busch Gardens, and I'm mostly certain that's exactly what she wanted(She got drenched in a water ride and peed on by a bird my sister fed, though, hence the mostly).
