Greetings, beings of some description.

Hmm. By way of introduction, I guess I'll say that I've lurked NPF since the days one might not have been completely shocked to see Drooling Iguana post. I've had one abortive account here before (Sanacra, if you're curious) when I was in high school, which I abandoned due to social anxiety. (it can totally affect online interactions, don't let anyone tell you otherwise)

I suppose I started this account because I've always liked something about this less-of-a-shithole-than-most-of-the-internet, and I guess I'm feeling a need for some kind of social outlet. I'm not sure how much I'll post, but I'm hoping for this thread to give me some kind of initial social contact that might encourage more presence from me than I might otherwise be inclined to.

Shiney is most assuredly both a shitface and an asshole.

As might be expected, I like sci-fi and fantasy and gaming in general...I attended DigiPen for a couple years, but causes occured and I failed out and am currently living with my parents...so, yeah that's an overview of some kind. Comments, questions, general mockery?

That's a pretty long time. I had an abortive account here once as well. It was a couple months before I actually joined NPF, but I can't remember for the life of me what the name was.

You'll be thankful if I Confuse you now, because then it means you'll be just like the rest of us.

Welcome foolish mortal.

You joined us proper at a very interesting time I must say. Now go get an avatar so I can have a visual target of my future hate towards you.

Well, conformity isn't usually a strong argument with me, but you are quite dapper...

Oh, don't worry. I've been around forever but it all blends together after awhile, so I probably can't blackmail you:3:

Not dapper, just that Freddie Mercury was an awesome guy.

True. Sadly, I am terrible at recognizing faces of people I primarily know of through auditory experience(and, irrelevant in this case, generally ignorant of a lot of people people might assume I'd know of) so I missed that aspect of your avatar. My apologies to Mr. Mercury.

edit: also, upon review, I apparently missed the cues in your user title/location, so good job me

Welcome to the madness, I guess. I'd say don't bother getting to know me, I'm kind of a nobody, but then you already know that having lurked here since time immemorial.

Mostly General, Media, and Games, with some Discussion or News or whatever it's called. Your RP shames are most likely safe ;)

Also, the lurking's been on and off over that span, so I'm not really hugely likely to remember particulars of any given individual. Unless you commonly make a big deal of stuff, like Snake or something.

Not that that's a bad thing. I think I'll find few people who earnestly think Snake is a detriment to this community. Maybe Smarty.

I recognize you in general way, but I'm sorry to report that lurking did not really furnish me with a firm grasp of your individual personality/posting style.

My user title is an oxymoron because I'm an oxymoron. Or possibly because I bear some superficial resemblances to a dorf(though I'm not short), and don't drink alcohol(not that it's any kind of claim to moral superiority; I just don't like how it tastes and was never the kind of person who'd be likely to percieve, much less succumb to, social pressure to engage in drinking), and it seemed vaguely clever.

All I can say is: read "The Dreadful"

It's the only comic that's been updating here in the past year and a half. 140ish pages of fantasy western action with a strong female cast.

(I also write/draw it)

You've already distinguished yourself in a positive manner in my eyes. It's good to see new blood who is also an excellent poster.

Speakin' of which, WTF is up with How I Began A Comic And Left It In Development Hell?

... Oh right... well, that's answered.

Also, welcome. I try not to be terribly conspicuous these days here either, but I figured I'd say hello.

Welcome, Sinvael. It has been many a year since I've seen DI's postings. That you remember him definitely tells me you have likely been lurking since before -I- started posting here. And that was almost eight years ago now.

It has gone. From years long before when a guy named after a crazed feline made theme songs for people, long before when it was a habit to post in the impromptu poetry thread, long before when an RP in Cyberspace started what would be the longest running by measure of actual posts, and possibly when the NPF was on a shared forum network with a bunch of other assholes with webcomics and 8 bit theatre was still relevant.

TIME

Welcome in my good man. Hopefully you can join the rest of the far too long present in the steadily growing dismay but still semi-prevelent amusement.

Don't worry, Pyros is still here, so this forum is halfway adequate! I hope DigiPen catches fire! Maybe you should move to Charlotte, as CPCC has a Simulation and Game Design Associate's degree at sub $1,500 a semester!

Though in the time that you were last here Sinvael, I hit puberty, got a college degree, and eventually a car! And a dog! Which took like, forever. So much change!

I still post as if I'm actually an intelligent cat who has typing skills who posts about being an insane fire angel deity, if not the only resident Deity on these forums other than Jesus and Yaw-way (eat fresh!), and I"m still conveniently ignored whenever peeps here begin having conversations about furrys and fictives, so I suppose somethings never change.

Though lately I seem to be a voice of reason, which can't be right. I spent all of last week attempting to ducttape a cigarette lighter extension cord onto my dashboard to mount my iphone dock on, instead of just spending the same amount of money on a window mounted dock! And I had a bottle of Sarsaparilla, and totally thought it was an altogether different and distinct beverage from root beer, and once I discovered it wasn't, I cried a bit. Cried. In my grandmother's arms.

But I kept the bottle and added it to my 25+ collection of glass bottles, so it all worked out in the end!

Welcome here to forum place, Mista Leavins!
