...why Americans constantly complain they aren't allowed to bring their guns into courthouses and schools and I dunno, airplanes, and yet Americans are now complaining that the TSA is going to allow people to bring little tiny non-fixed blade pocket "knives" mostly useful for cleaning fingernails and about as dangerous as a key, which is already allowed, onto airplanes?

I mean, I'm sure this isn't a perfect circle but if you had a Venn diagram I have no doubt there's an overlap of at least some size between the two circles and the existence of this overlap, no matter how small, makes my brain hurt.

I hope I'm wrong and someone with these two beliefs in their head doesn't exist. I hope the Venn diagram has no overlap, just two perfect, separate circles.

Probably the case, though I'm sure there are a few people who believe these sort of mental gymnastics so they can come to the end point of "I should be allowed to act like a cowboy, me, and nobody else!"

Are these the same groups or different groups but both American groups? It is easy for a large population to have two separate opinions based upon their own personal desires.

Those two groups are completely seperate. Though for the record it is a VERY small group that supports guns on planes. So small that I haven't even heard of them and am mostly just assuming they exist because statistically speaking there has to be some people that think its ok.

This is more or less my impression as well.
