Hoverbikes (http://rt.com/news/hover-bike-star-wars-255/).

That is all.

You may all rejoice, now.

The aerospace firm managed to fix the stability issue by creating a mechanical system — controlled by two control bars at knee-level — that allows the vehicle to respond to a human pilot's leaning movements and natural sense of balance, Innovation News daily reports.Aerofex does not plan on initially developing and selling a human version of the hover vehicle and instead plans to use the aerial vehicle as a test platform for unmanned drones. But, if it's unmanned, who's going to work the knee bars that make the darn thing not roll over? Also LAME SAUCE AEROFEX PEOPLE ARE THROWING PRODUCTIVE IDEAS ON HOW TO USE THIS AT YOU AND YOU'RE JUST GONNA USE IT TO KILL BROWN PEOPLE?!

Disappointing. This article is a big build up, then it's snatched away.

Clearly what this means is that someone needs to reverse engineer this so we all get the hoverbikes that we deserve.

Hover bike? That thing looks like an upside down helicopter. Put it in a skateboard, then we can talk.

Bet it is fun to ride though...

I'd hate to see the RPMs you would need to reach to have a hover skateboard that could do that.

edit: the noise would be so high pitched you'd have dogs going crazy.

... you're trying to dissuade us from having hoverboards, but all you're doing is making me want it all the more.

Also, who wants in on a business venture: Earprotection for dogs.

Not sure you're taking into account wild dogs, such as wolves and coyotes. Maybe they'll eventually just evolve to withstand it?

Anyway, when I first saw this thread, I couldn't think of a good post and I still can't, so I'll use the one I was originally going to.

I wanted swoop bikes like Star Wars. Looks like my dreams have been dashed.

That was going to be the second business venture, but that was going to go live later on.
But sure. Wildlife Ear Protection Agency.

Capturing and installing ear protection on wild dogs.

It has the potential to be the next Segway: overpriced and unpopular. But unlike the Segway, it's a thousand times cooler.
