As some of you may know I decided to adopt a fox and that was a horrible idea. This friendly playful girl, someone stepped on her, and she died. The moment I adopted her I knew I couldn't give her the home she deserved. Now she is gone.

Sorry for your loss, Aero. How long did you have her for?

I'm sorry for your loss. At least you gave her a warm loving home for as long as she was with you.

That's terrible. I don't really know what to say except that I feel sorry for you.

Whats really bad is, she was all I had. I lost my job, unemployment was denied, tens of thousands of dollars in debt. She made me want to still be alive. I thought even if my life is horrible I can atleast make sure her's isn't.

But I couldn't even do that

who stepped on her?

who stepped on her?

I dont want to say. I know it was an accident so I dont want misplaced blame to fall on them. She just happened to run under their foot at the wrong time.

I will however say it was not me. If it was I doubt I'd be stable enough to even type this.

I'd say you did, though. Animals are generally not terribly fussy when it comes to emotional fulfillment. You gave her a lovely home full of food and warm places to sleep and other weird-looking foxes to be family and play with her. Your little kitling lived like a queen, Aero, so please don't doubt for a second just how much you did for her.

Sorry Aero. Foxes are great, one of my favourite animals in fact, and it sucks that your adopted fox died.

My nephews just came in a few minutes ago asking "where is the fox"

that was... harder than I'd have liked. But atleast I was able to answer. Not so sure if I could have done that a few days ago

I'm sorry you're going through a tough time. I'm sure she was happy with you. I couldn't stop my pet from dying either. I didn't even know anything was wrong until it was too late. Don't lose hope.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Aero.

But it was not your fault, and you did well by her.

I'd say you did, though. Animals are generally not terribly fussy when it comes to emotional fulfillment. This is entirely correct.

Peace.
