Okay guys, I have a question/need opinion on something.
I am cosplaying for the first time this year and I am going as a Blue Lantern DnD Cleric and while I have everything set up, I am debating on adding buckler shield to the ensemble. Do you think it would make or break the costume

I don't know enough about what you're talking about to help. Are you going as a D&D cleric who happens to be a member of the Blue Lantern Corps from DC, or is "Blue Lantern Cleric" a prestige class or some D&D in-joke I'm no longer hip enough to understand?

I am combinging the essential DnD/Pathfinder Cleric with the Blue Lantern Corp

then I think I'd go with the shield, you should consider what looks good on a cleric first, and blue lantern second since you want to give the impression its from the DnD setting

It really depends on your setup... because a shield is going to be the forefront of your costume unless you wear it in the back... so if it's not well made, it might stand out like a sore thumb. But if it's well produced, it really does fit the motif you got going there.

He's right in that it's a big "thing" and if it ain't good it's going to detract from everything else. That said, If you've got the resources, Something Like this but Blue-Lantern themed would be pretty schway
