Birthday messages

but I came to say that every year on this day, the very first happy birthday message I get is from this forums automated software. Yes today (12/31) is my actual birthday. And today I turn 30.

It may seem silly, but for some reason, it really does make me smile. I came here eons ago to read 8-bit theater and lurk in the threads. I stopped coming a while back and stopped logging in even further back, but a part of me will always hold this site dear, and that cold, mechanical, programmed happy birthday message warms my heart yearly.

I think a lot more people than ever come back to mention it have a lot of fond memories or NPF. It's nice to hear from old timers, and even some-timers.

I'm just glad the forum was down for two months or so during my most recent birthday. Birthdays are the worst, and I'm not even worried about my age yet.
