It's my first US Independence Day as a brit living in america. Gentle ribbing has been the order of the day.

I had the day off work. I had to go into work because our office network went down and I had to fix it. Neighbors have been launching fireworks sporadically for almost a week.

Had a little lunch cookout with friends, then it rained a bit. And for the past couple days, been having to deal with Surprise Fireworks from neighbors. -_-

There's no firework show in either of the small towns near my house, but there's always a neighbor in the valley I live in who sets off his own. I have no idea where his house is, because the noise echoes between the mountains all up and down the narrow valley, despite every house on the street being fairly spaced out and isolated from each other. Surprisingly, no fireworks went off on July 4th near my house.

That's because Fireworks Guy set them all off on Monday night instead. :/

I went swimmin' and ate grilled brats. Then watched things asplode. I Fourth of July'd. Julied. Ju..I was America.

I'm in Costa Rica. Watched John Wick 2, which was kind of a neutral action overall. Not feeling especially Patriotic as of recent, so the lack of America didn't especially bother me.
