Yeah, but playing the Eevee until you get Baton Pass is still a friggin' pain, as Masaki said.
|
This is obviously some Current gen bullmess that I don't have to give a crap about because I'm too cool for all that.
|
Training an Eevee until it got Bite, then evolving it to Espeon was the thing to do in the G/S/C days.
Evolving any of the "Special Case" pokemon immediatly is stupid and shows a lack of understanding for how much you just jacked your pokemon |

I always used a magikarp... I'd like to sign up as a gym leader too, as soon as I finish the game. Could take a while. Anyone wanna gimme some freebies to help me get started? I'll trade u magikarps for them! EDIT: I feel like an old-timer asking this, but what games have been released since Daimond/Pearl? |
Only Platinum. Heart Gold and Soul Silver are coming out pretty soon though!

As far as Eevee is concerned... I'm a huge fan of Umbreon. Best defensive stats of the Eeveelutions, and one hell of a Trap Passer. Perfect for locking someone that likes to switch out a lot, and dealing a whole hell of a lot of pain with the next 'mon in the Pass chain.
Then there's Vaporeon, well known for making 101 Substitutes. For those that aren't learned in Pokejargon, a 101 Sub is a substitute created by a Pokemon with over 404 HP. This makes it impossible for a move like Seismic Toss or Night Shade to break it at level 100. As Vaporeon is very bulky, it is also a huge pain in the ass for pokemon with no reliable grass or electric counter moves. As someone else said, Glaceon is great on Hail stall teams, especially if paired with Abomasnow and/or Froslass. Edit: Also, if no one else has put up a bid for it... totally calling Steel Gym. |
