Bear in mind that MM1 didn't have a password system, either. Of course, this whole line of logic falls apart when you factor in that they had both the charge buster and slide, so there's not really any good reason to not have the password deal going

Jan14: Street Fighter X Mega Man V2 coming this Friday (Jan 18)

Surprise! We spent the holiday break looking at your feedback and have since made a few adjustments to last month's SFxMM freebie. This update will also be on the house, available via the Mega Man group page.

So, what does this update... update? Well, for one, MM2-style passwords!

Among other minor tweaks that should make the overall experience a bit better:

-Confirmation prompt before exiting (ESC) or resetting (F12) the game

-E Tank glitch and various other bugs fixed

-Improved controller support (Game defaults to keyboard on launch; make sure controller is plugged in prior to opening the file, then go into Options menu and set keys)

-Take screenshots using F9

-M Bison buffed a bit (This place shall become your grave!)

No new content per se, but hopefully these minor updates will make the game easier to run and more enjoyable. This will arrive Friday around 5pm PT (8pm ET) so head to the Mega Man page and grab it! And of course, huge props to Zong Hui for the effort!

Note: We have identified known performance issues when running the game on Intel Integrated GPUs and as a result you may experience some slowdown on these machines. My home and work laptops are such machines and ran both the old and new versions without issue, but if you have experienced slowdown on a computer that really should be able to run this, that could be the reason.

Ah very good news for SFXMM.

Well I shall now proceed to actually play it to the end!

I only had slow-down on Blanka's stage and it actually made it easier, soooooo...

Oh cool. A password system. That should end a fair amount of the complains with the game. Goodness knows I have trouble completing a full Mega Man game in one sitt-

hey, do you think the password system will have a value that counts how many perfects you get?

Kyanbu The Legend 01-14-2013 04:45 PM

If you mean if it'll save the perfects or not then yes, it should.

Also it seems M.Bison is getting a big buff. Meaning he's actually going to be very hard now.

POS Industries 01-14-2013 05:11 PM

So it'll take more than me using Soul Satellite and going "AHAHAHAHAHA FUCK YOU" to beat him?

I guess I'm okay with that.

Locke cole 01-14-2013 05:17 PM

Oh dammit!

Is there any way to re-map what ESC does? Because I was fighting C. Viper and wanted to get an Energy Tank. Instead, I quit the game. Stupid muscle memory.

In other news, Lightning Kick is pretty great for getting through that one hallway in C. Viper's stage where a huge laser chases you. However, Lightning Kick is not good for fighting C. Viper herself.

Kyanbu The Legend 01-14-2013 05:33 PM

The update will add a message promp asking you if you wish to quit the game.

Locke cole 01-14-2013 05:35 PM

Well, this update is officially exactly what I need for this game.
