The forum sure has been slower to load a page after you follow a link and also to render a thread once the page starts loading. I can't speak to the rest of the site, of which you appear to mostly be asking, but would assume it's the same being on the same host.

Hmm. Has it gotten serious enough to pester anyone about it? For me, it's only once in a while - the rest of the time with it loading as normal/fine. I've noticed Facebook is similarly slow to respond but no other sites seem to exhibit similar behavior.

e: of course, since I posted this, the site's run perfectly fine and hasn't had any slowdown for me, though it did for a couple days last week.

I don't think it's slow enough or serious enough to pester anyone about it. The only time I see major slow that gets slightly annoying is those huge threads. Maybe it's time to start those over?

I think it has something to do with the annoying popup ads on the front page.

Nothing I've especially noticed, but I've run into a few times where I've automatically double-posted when I just pushed the button twice. Which I've thought was odd, but I'm not sure how this relates to this issue.
