I have no game manual.
I'm having a little trouble figuring out the controls (I'm using the Classic controller by the way), but I'm liking it just for the sheer novelty of teaming Casshan and Viewtiful Joe. It doesn't look like I have Zero or Frank West yet though. I guess you have to unlock them? Can anyone confirm?

Of course, there are other possible reasons they wouldn't be there.

To unlock Frank West: Beat arcade mode with three Capcom characters.
To unlock Zero: Same, but with six. Replace Capcom with Tatsunoko to obtain Tekkaman Blade and Joe the Condor. |
It's pretty much straight forward to unlock people, it doesn't even demand an specific Difficulty level. And beating the game 12 Times isn't really absurd.
It's just too bad we lost all the Japanese minigames and the original music, but the new characters and balanced gameplay is actually really better. |
I'm not gonna say much that won't go in a review/analysis that won't matter except for people as fucked up in the head as I am so I'll just say I'm enjoying my copy and considering forcing my roommate to get a Wiimote/Classic just to go a few rounds with me.
EDIT: VV I thought that too, but hey we get Viewtiful Joe and Zero and Frank West, I think we're alright for now. |

Karas is still an awesome robot samurai Batman.
So, I'm doing some multiplayer with a friend, and I am in love with Yatterman. His character design and specials are possibly my favorite in the whole game.
Quick question, though. We've been trying to get one of Karas' specials to work, but all he does is crouch and do a blocking motion with his sword and then hold that pose. Anyone know what to do here? |
Wait no Dante or vergil... why Capcom? WHY!?

I swear I'm so glad I actually liked Casshern before I got this game. He's like the standard rush/beatdown character and I'm totally digging his movelist. Viewtiful Joe might be my new favorite unique fighting game character, trumping Johnny, just for the cool way his height and abilities works within context to the VJ games. EDIT: Read the manual. Works with - and indeed, prefers, Gamecube Controllers. <3 |
