I have brought patients in to a nursing home, asked what room they go to, get a room number and five seconds later not take them the right room at all.

Also once I ran around my house before work screaming about where my boots were. I had thought my dad had stored them somewhere and was getting nervous about being late when I realized that I had left them in my car- specifically so I wouldn't have them moved or stored.
