Here's a head-scratcher: before I started working for the city, my supervisor did all the web site work himself in Front Page. He only ever tested for IE. Somehow, the styles got messed up in such a way that things look fine in IE, but in literally everything else, most of the pages are white text on a white background.

His main web site computer is now fully equipped with all 5 major browsers and my own hand-done styles for the new site that ensures everything displays correctly in all of them. (Although for some reason, IE8 adds the left margin to the right margin, so I have a META tag on every page to force it into IE7 compatibility, or else things are all kinds of messed up.)


Edit: Sir Pink: Maybe it's just that it doesn't do well in a multitasking environment, but when I've got all five major browsers open at once, Firefox works the fastest. Well, after IE, but it's the fastest out of the worthwhile browsers.

Or, you know, actually activate your anti-virus software. It doesn't exactly do any good turned off.


Edit: Or if you don't have any (not the smartest idea), you can get a free copy of AVG and never have to worry about it again.

There is the possibility his anti-virus software has been killed by the virus(so to speak), it was running in his last screen shot.

Besides which, it's highly unethical to be engaging in sexual activity when you have an unknown virus.

You know, I totally have the image of a Sword-chuck wielding hacker mafia, that scan the web for references to Lev and infect any offender's PCs with humiliating viruses.
