I don't know if I broke my own nose in an accident or my brother broke my nose as a kid, but it clearly was broken since its visibly crooked and been that way so long as I can remember.

I've broken my right forearm and right shoulder. Both were long enough ago that i can't really remember it. With my shoulder, I didn't do the exercises I was supposed to do with it, so now I can't point my right arm straight up. I also managed to sprain both arms...recently enough to remember that really hurt.
I also managed to break the fluid sack in my knee by tripping in a gym class. It took me a few days to notice, I hit the floor chin first, so my head hurt a lot more than my knee did. I was pretty lucky I didn't bite my tongue or anything like that. It wasn't until my knee was swollen and hurt to move that I went to the doctor to get it checked out. Never had anything that bleed real good, though. I'm not sure how I would react. |
I broke my collar bone playing hockey from a check from behind into the boards. and was told that if I had been about an inch farther from the boards when I got hit I would have broken my neck.
And I cut my hand open on a meat slicer and nearly lost a pretty big chunk of my hand, but it was still attached by a flimsy piece of skin and they managed to reattach it. |
I once almost cut the tip of my thumb off about 4/5 years back when I was modding my beyblade with a butcher knife (before I learned it was against the game's rules). Surprisingly, it didn't hurt all that bad. It took weeks for it to heal after they skin glued it back into place. Though the nail is growing fine. the skin under it looks misshapen.

Once when cycling down a gravelled hill track in our local forest, a dog came bursting out of the side woods in front of me, so I braked and swerved - I went clean over the handlebars, slid down the hill. Mainly cuts and bruises all over, except for my left arm which basically got sliced open completely around the elbow. Got bits of gravel embedded in my arm. I was in no state to continue riding, so I had to walk my bike ~1 mile back home, dripping gallons of blood along the way. Got a few odd stares but no help, people probably didn't realise my agony.
Eventually got to the local doctors surgery, and they had no choice but to extract all the gravel from my arm with tweezers. Absolute torture. Took about 3 hours as they had to ensure every little bit of stone was extracted before they bandaged me up. This was around 8 or 9 years ago as I was 13 at the time, and around my left elbow my skin is still purple and very blotchy. |
I've been playing hockey for the last month with a tear in my rotator cuff (now mostly healed,) a pulled groin and a sprained MCL. The rotator cuff started swelling real bad a week ago, largely because I've still been doing martial arts as much as I can and playing hockey, and I got a case of bicep tendinitis. So in our playoff game last night I had one arm and one leg. It was not pleasant. I got into a fight as well, which was one of the most useless exercises of my life. On the plus side, I got to sit in the penalty box for 10 minutes, and we lost so I don't have to play anymore. (Yes, in Saskatchewan, we take our rec hockey this seriously.)
My cavalcade of injuries includes 4 grade-3 concussions, twice dislocated shoulder, broken right hand, torn achilles tendon, bruised femur (that one hurt like a bitch) and a reconstructed wrist due to multiple breakages+sprains. Hockey's a hell of a drug, by the way. |
Back in high school, I was knocked over backwards in a PE class and fell really hard onto my extended arms. I sprained both wrists and I think I must've chipped a chunk of bone off one.
Do you remember the scene in The Mummy where Jonathan is attacked by a flesh-eating scarab beetle and you can see it crawling around under the skin of his arm? Yeah. The chipped wrist looked a lot like that. It would have been cool if it didn't hurt so damn much. I've also tripped and fallen face-first onto a concrete wheelchair ramp in third grade. I still have a scar on my chin from that adventure. I'm so graceful. |
In order:
_mike jump kicked me and broke a rib in third grade. A girl slammed a lunchbox into my hand. There was an icepack inside. Broke my right thumb. I dislocated my right knee hopping off of a pew. It seemed to happen in mid-air. I'm not sure how that worked. After popping it back into place, I dragged my leg around with my hands for another day before going to the ER and getting a brace. I dislocated my other knee running bases in wiffleball. Again, not sure what happened. I walked that one off (after popping it back into place, too), never got it treated, and it still hurts three years later. So, yeah, I have bad knees, I guess. |
