Any who aerozord, to answer you about why this is kicked in: look at it from a network administrator point of view. Instead of building a large filter comprised of porn related sites in addition to other filtered sites cluttered together one can filter out the .xxx. TLD and call it good.

There's other reasons too, but that one is what I thought of first and foremost when I heard about it awhile back.

I think we should register nuklearpower.xxx and nuklearforums.xxx.

Liz, m'dear, I hate to be all THE MOD LAYIN' DOWN THE LAW on y'all, but! Even with the naughtiest parts covered up, someone here who's, for instance, browsing at work is gonna have a pretty hard difficult time explaining all o' them fine, fine man-sex drawings to their boss or coworkers.
