Hah, I was watching this too because Egoraptor had mentioned it on his Youtube thingamajig. I like how the preview for it pretty much explicitly shows that none of the obstacle courses, tests, and feats of strength will have anything to do with gaming.

I mean Egoraptor had to do the interview while wearing an aquarium full of insects on his head.

So basically I don't know why you are taking this seriously as it seems to be a complete and utter parody of reality television. Which puts it in "so bad it's good territory".

Incidentally, this is the second least-viewed video featuring Egoraptor on youtube.

The least viewed video overall is one he put up an hour ago.

But if you want to just rant about dumb people, that seems appropriate.
 

haven't watched TV in years. This only supports my decision to retain some semblance of sanity.

What snippets I've seen only prove that the movie Idiocracy is true. Though I can't help but wonder what they did to get egoraptor on there.

Edit: two minutes in and I wanted to set the world afire for allowing this to happen.

Just as an addendum, this doesn't make me feel ashamed to be a gamer. Judging by the likes/dislikes, the viewcount, and the comments, it's clear that the gaming community is reacting to this nonsense in exactly the manner they ought to.

Now if we can get Egoraptor voted off so the whole shebang can just quietly burn somewhere.

I'm pretty sure the fact that he is a fat white nerdy looking guy who suddenly bursts into street talk out of the blue was like, 95% of the reason they picked him.

It's more of a contest where they are supposedly competing to be given a QA game testing position at a major game company (I think Sony) by performing a series of tasks that have nothing to do with gaming in the least. It's also only on the internet as far as I can tell so it's not really a real TV show.

So unlike Jersey Shore it can at least be surmised that this show is about something, as opposed to nothing. Survivor, as opposed to Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Both are equally fake, but not of equal vapidness.
