It's amazing how big this got. Kind of brings back some fond memories I had of my childhood during the late 90s/early 2000s.

I haven't caught all that much since I'm still phoneless and can only sign in (my brief pokemon TCG online experience years go has paid off nicely) using my little sister's phone whenever I have to borrow it before going out. Even she's starting to get into the pokemon go craze and I didn't even think she liked pokemon (never seemed to care much about it out side of mini games and occasionally my copy of Pokemon Y when she sees me playing it).

At this point, I'm certainly at least mildly addicted to the game. My office is on our downtown square which boasts 6 pokestops within a small radius and a gym next to our building. From the office itself, I can access 1 pokestop and whatever spawns in our little plaza so I've been able to keep up with my less casual friends.

I'll usually walk a few laps around the square during my lunch breaks which is great because I've been needed to start up some sort of exercise routine. Also, everyone I know seems to think it's great that I now know what the hell their talking about when they spout off the names of various pokemon (this is the first pokemon game I've played).

At the end of this month, one of our local bar owners is putting together a pokemon pub crawl. Considering my aim already sucks (fuck zubats!) it should be interesting to see how I do after a few beers.

A kid threw a massive temper tantrum outside that it was "his gym and nobody else could have it" and now it's locked down with a bunch of CP 2000's from team Mystic.

Also tantrum kid was like 15 and Team Instinct.

Yeah, unfortunately my town is in a straight up gang war between Valor and Mystic. Gyms tend to change hands often and it's hard to hold one for any length of time. Of all those listed, I still hold two of them.

I was at Disneyland this week and I can't tell you how many people I saw playing Pokemon Go while waiting in lines. A teenager catching zubats in the Buzz Lightyear queue, a kid telling a cast member where she could catch the Cubone she was looking for, people teaching other people in line how to play... It was kinda weird, but I guess it's something to do while waiting in line.

I'm tempted to give it a try, but we'll see. Does the app still give the company access to all your contacts, data and web search history?
